I think Stewart becomes to predictable at times, especially if he's playing on the left. It means he has to cut inside rather then just skin his man and get to the byline, which he is easily capable of.

When he comes inside the defending team get bodies around him and all his neat step overs come to no avail. The attack is easily sniffed out and the ball is cleared, like the Derby match for instance.

I'm not going to start to slate him though because he's still up there with our best threat attack wise.

Well they do cross over half way through the match if they find it hard to get at their men.

Mind you i'm sure i've seen them playing on the same side in a match, which was odd.

its stewart, im not slating him here, he just frustrates me because he has the chance to be a world beater at this level....but whenever dawson or mckenna gets the ball and there is acres of space behind the full back, he never runs beyond and gives them the option to dink it over to him, he just goes and stands right next to them.. , even tho he has the pace to strip most of them, but i think if he did that he knows hed have to hit a 1st time cross and he cant on his left foot, if you remember at home v birmingham he was down the right, he made that run, 1st time cross and it was a goal...

We've had games where we've played pretty football and lost,, so it made a pleasant change to have an ugly win.
Now need to build on it with three very winnable games, Donny (h) Pompie (a) and Bristol (h) to come.

Pompey gave Cardiff a scare yesterday, so it maybe a tougher match than expected. It was like our match v Watford at the KC, especially with the late winner.

They've still got some decent players in this division, they're just in disarray at the moment.

good point, hopefully soon we will combine the great football with a bit of the ugliness and give somebody a severe thrashing! (lets save that for leeds)

They've just got another winding-up order from HMRC and the prospective new owner is talking about pulling out of the deal to buy them, they might have lost a couple of those decent players by the time they face us.

Norris or Varney maybe and that Henderson doesn't look a bad keeper.

Is that why we've just got loanees? Just sit back and wait for the inevitable when they'll be free.

I wonder if NB is interested in Norris, he wanted a midfielder and Norris was NP's target in the summer...
