I'll repeat something I said 2 weeks ago when we signed our Slovakian midfielder.

"Martin Jol's brother, Dick, is a FIFA-accredited international referee and took charge of the 2001 Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Valencia. He also has another brother, Cock, who worked as a scout at Tottenham"

I am positive that they were related to Billy who was a special constable and his Brother Marlow who lived in the next street to mine when i live in Llanrumney and was caretaker at St Cadocs School and was involved in martial arts,Billy played Park football at a late age if my memory serves me right and i am sure he lived in Llanrumney too for a while.

yeah I think they lived in Llanrumney...I know Dave was an Inspector if I recall correctly and I think Joe was a special too but I'm not 100%

I used to play for a local side run by a guy called Joe Offside.

Joey Offside, theres a blast from the past, I worked with Joey for years, he was a tanker driver at Curran Oils, not a bad player, and he had a couple of sons that were useful players as well.
We had a team at Currans and used to play 4 or 5 friendlies a year and they used to turn out for us, he was a special constable, and he'd never speak to you if he was "on duty" ;)

Thats the one Proph....
top guys all three of them and as you say, decent players too. We had plenty of good 'unrecorded' away trips with that Sunday League team back then :)
I could vaguely remember the special pc connection. thanks for confirming

I know the name, but I think he worked in the bath section, I worked for the oil company so wouldn't have had much to do with him, probably know his face from the Docks Cons or the Curran Club <ok>
