Seriously I have come across negative posters in my time, but your every comment is f**ing negative bollocks. Mix it up. Why do you think we should not underestimate Monaco? How many times have you seen them play this season? Who is their biggest threat? I have watched them loads of times this season, and they are easily the worst team in the draw. They are dull and tedious team who by some of tiny miracle finished first ahead of Bayer. Their ground is f**ing tiny and has zero atmosphere, and in terms of travel or players our not going anywhere far.

It really is the best draw we could dreamed of, stop trying to put a negative spin on everything.

It's a great draw for us. We need to not be complacent though, they have the likes of Berbatov, Moutinho, etc, who can cause us problems.

After constantly facing the likes of Barca and Bayern they are just over excited and I can't really blame them. Our last 16 draws have been brutal in the last few years but it was our own doing for not topping the group. Once in a while a little luck comes into play and I am happy we have a little. Monaco are no push overs but we definitely have a better chance against them that one of Europe's top 3 sides. We want to progress so no one is taking Monaco lightly (except maybe Sanj) We have to destroy them with all guns blazing.

Barbatov is a hasbeen. Him playing is an advantage for us. They won't press from the front, which means our defence has plenty time on the ball to start attacks.

Sometimes Sanj a teams league form does not always relate to their performance in a Champions League tie over 2Legs..... just saying.

But more times than not, it does. If we have anything about us and I mean anything, we have to put these to the sword.

This is Evident with a team like City for Instance. Great in the League but awful in Europe considering squad ability and money spent. Then you have Monaco who may be awful in their league at present, which imo makes them even more dangerous as they will feel they have nothing to lose. It's still a game we should win but there is no such thing as 100% 3pts against any Champions league last 16 team until the end of 90mins.

    100% agree.

No days off mentality for every single Arsenal player.

ffs! The team will not be taking the game for granted, but there is absolutely no reason why us mere mortals can't enjoy the moment and think as positively as we like :)

    Dare to believe - COYG!!!

It's such a relief to get a decent draw in the CL, and while Monaco have some dangerous players, it is the best draw we could have hoped for - if we play like we can (like when we beat Dortmund this season, and Bayern and Barca in seasons past) then we can get through to the quarters where we will prob meet one of the below -

    Bayern, Real, PSG/Chelsea, City/Barca, Juve/Dortmund, Athletico, Basle/Porto

A real mix of teams between the ones you want to avoid (Bayern, Real and Barca def stand out, with Athletico and PSG/Chelsea the others) to definitely winnable possible ties against Basle/Porto or Juve/Dortmund!

    Bring it!

    Toulalan is alright too.

Delighted with getting them though. I'm a big fan of playing the easiest teams possible to get to a final. Let the big boys get knocked out by others and conserve your energy. Hopefully we'll have got some rhythm going by then, maybe even healthy players...! Obviously at this level there are no easy games, but out of the possibilities they were by far the best draw.

If we cannot beat Monaco, then quite frankly we have no business in the CL. If we could handpick, I doubt if we could have done any better! There is the old cliché, there are no easy games, but some games are easier than others, we will not be going into the next round as rank outsiders and praying not to get humiliated. Even, the most negative of us will say we have a good chance of progressing!

We should beat Monaco but let's be honest they are a better side than Stoke or Swansea who we have both lost too this Season.

It's a huge game for Monaco and they will be up for it. No time for complacency.

We have got a great chance of progressing in my opinion. I'm really pleased we avoided Barca, Bayern and Real because as I said, if we win this game (and to be honest we should be) then I think it will give us a real shot in the arm to have a proper crack at this trophy. Also I think it will help our league form too (just as long as we don't pick up any more injuries !!)

Perhaps you guys are doing things in reverse to normal seasons. Normal pattern is great until February then "rubbish" in late February and March only to recover to take 4th spot. This season you have been awful so far but show signs of improvement. So just maybe .......!!!!!! Good luck and hope you progress to the business end of the competition. Perhaps it is time for a surprise finalist again with the fancied teams getting each other in the QFs and SFs. Chelsea in the semis perhaps?????? That would be something!!!!!

Last season we were good up until feb-ish, but the previous two years before that we started poorly and put in our best form towards the business end of the season. Wouldn't say we have a pattern of doing well until February in recent years at all bar last year.

It did seem to be a pattern with us five or so years ago.
