There will only be a day before the draw for the groups, I can't see any alternatives. In 2010-11 when Trabzonspor got moved from the EL to the CL, Athletic Bilbao (I think) qualified for the groups for free. So I am sure they will have to let Arsenal back in.
Tough draw, but a winnable one for this current squad over two legs. Will need to rest some starters when we play away to Fulham, including some of our better experienced international type guys like Podolski and Cazorla.
Does anybody know what happens if Fenerbache qualify and then get kicked out of the CL ? Would we get their place or would it go to the next placed Turkish team / would we have to play them in a qualifier ?
It is undecided according to UEFA. Both those scenarios are possiblities, and from what I've read a third possibility is a playoff involving Arsenal (should we lose, and should Fenerbahce also be banned thereafter) playing against Salzburg.
I don't think it will come to that as i think we will win. I assume if we win there is no way of us having to play another qualifier if Fenerbache get banned?
