These are a class above. Pace and precision. No surprise really considering they play mens football every week.
I’d be pleased if we could show a third of their precision. Should have scored at least one so far from some decent attacking play. I hope we can learn from it and start to convert more chances into goals.
I have read some pretty scathing comments elsewhere which is a shame as this is a good experience. If we had our stronger u21s out it might have been different but even then the experience would have mattered
Must admit, I turned over to Man City not long after their third goal (partly becausethe camera was doimg my head in!). Technically, the Jormans looked excellent on the ball. We had a very very young side out there. Will help our lads massively as a learning experience that imo.
Crompton is injured I wonder where Zak has gone ? and no Bennette or Watson those 4 would have made a difference imo, and at least given us half a chance against what was a very tough opponent and a weak referee. Experience does matter and loosing 3-0 at home is not a good one no matter what.
Johnson was at the sheff utd home game at Eppleton, so was Kelly but neither played. Not sure why tbh, but the bairn spotted them in the crowd as we had a walk around.
As we walked out of the Sheff Ud game we heard Kelly say to someone that he had a slight hamstring concern so wasn't considered.

They would have learned more in that game than they would in a lot of the games they've won this season Some of the comments I seen on social media were embarrassing - saw a couple saying if those players are the future of the.club we are in trouble. People getting carried away, as per. It's a bit ****, because this was an exceptionally young team. This is the way the club do things, they get the bairns playing up against players better or better prepared than them, to gain experience. There is no way that BM side were full of 17 year olds
Agreed, full back position not the best but that midfield n forward line has genuine top level quality Really hope Aleksic settles in the country as he looks an unreal prospect
