Whites in action at Elland Road on Sunday. Leeds United Under-21s are back in action on Sunday afternoon (2pm), when they take on Sunderland at Elland Road. Paco Gallardo’s side have four matches remaining of their PL2 campaign and are currently top of the league. Whilst they continue their battle to be crowned champions of the division, the added bonus of top-spot is automatic promotion to Division 1. Nottingham Forest and Southampton are aiming to catch the Whites. Forest are level on points with Leeds, with Southampton just two points behind. However, both those teams have played a game more so the Whites could extend the gap with victory on Sunday. It’s three wins on the bounce for the Under-21s having beaten Derby County, Southampton and Aston Villa in their last three matches.
Leeds knocked off top spot last night by Saints but Leeds now have games in hand and only need 5 points from their remaining 3 games. We would be winning the league and getting promotion at the first time of asking.
