Excellent result for the lads against a strong team from the other place. By all accounts a lot of thanks go to goalie George Wickens. The team was:

Wickens; McAvoy, Asare, Warland, Cover; Davis, De Havilland; Carvalho, Hilton, Tahir (Jasper 65'); Abraham (Ablade 84')

Unused subs: Chisholm, Page and Tiehi

Good to see Tiehi back, even if only as an unused sub.

Ouch !! But we always knew it was going to be tough after the Cup result at theirs last month. On the plus side Terry Ablade and Harvey Elliott scored a couple of crackers. Unfortunately, late on and too late to put a dent in an Arsenal side challenging for the top spot in the table.

    The side was:

    L. Ashby-Hammond; McAvoy, Asare, Warland (Cover 46'), Drameh; Davis (Tahir 46'), De Havilland; Elliott, Hilton, Carvalho; Abraham (Ablade 62')

    Unused subs:: Wickens and Jasper

What a second half and what a come back from 3-1 down for the lads. Sylvester Jasper got our first two with absolute crackers and Terry Ablade the equaliser 2 minutes from the end.

Oh, but for those missed chances though !! Keep an eye on young Scott Armsworth. He used to play in central midfield but has been converted to CB. Yes we let in three but he was immense. The team was:

    L. Ashby-Hammond; Asare, McAvoy, Armsworth, Cover; Hilton, De Havilland; Elliott, Carvalho, Jasper; Abraham (Ablade 75')

Unused subs: Wickens, Frei, Warland and Page

The highlight of this game was the return of Jean-Pierre Tiehi after a long period out injured.

He came on for the second half with team already down 3-0. Guess Harvey Elliot scoring from a spectacular free kick was a bit of a highlight as well, but to be honest it was but a consolation.

    L. Ashby-Hammond; Asare (Warland 79'), McAvoy, Armsworth, Cover; Carvalho, De Havilland, Page; Elliott, Ablade (Tiehi 46'), Tahir (Pajaziti 63')

    Unused subs: Chisholm and, Frei

    Norwich 0 Fulham 2 (U18s)

Nearly a month since the youngsters had a game and they were certainly up for this one. There was a lot of fairly frenetic stuff at the beginning but the lads settled into a neat team game while Norwich relied on the long ball breaks. Sonny Hilton's strong runs were telling and Jean-Pierre Tehi just being strong kept us dominant. However, we just couldn't get that goal.

Second half the lads kept up the pressure and the inevitable goal arrived. Great play by Sylvester Jasper saw him slip the ball to Fabio Carvalho who side stepped his marker and slammed the ball home. While remaining on top, the second didn't come till the last minute, Terry Ablade poking the ball into the net.

No Ben Davis in the match day squad -

    L. Ashby-Hammond; Asare, Armsworth, McAvoy, Odutayo; Hilton, De Havilland; Tahir (Abraham 46'), Carvalho, Jasper; Tiehi (Ablade 46')

Unused subs: Yanko, Page and Parkes

    Fulham 2 Leicester 1 (U18s)

Strong win by the lads. Dominating the first half and squandering a wodge of chances, it took a stunning 25 yarder from Fabio Carvalho to put them one ahead. Into the second Leicester gave themselves a bit of a gee up and we struggled a tad with their crosses. Sure enough the equaliser came from one and a thumping header from their striker.

Terry Ablade came on and him and Carvalho immediately put a mark on the game. The winner though was a tad fortunate though. A Leicester player was adjudged to have played the ball and Sonny Hilton from an off side position was able to turn and pop the ball home.

Interesting couple of days for our young German keeper, Toni Stahl. On the bench last night for the U23s game against Newcastle and on the bench again today. The team was:

    L. Ashby-Hammond; Asare (Pajaziti 85'), Armsworth, McAvoy, Odutayo; De Havilland, Page (Ablade 56'); Tahir, Hilton, Carvalho; Tiehi

    Unused subs: Stahl

    Fulham 2 West Ham 0 (U18s)

Great start to the weekend as the lads make it three on the bounce. With the wind in our favour first half we peppered the West Ham goal; Jean-Pierre Tieh causing no end of problems as a swashbuckling centre forward. However, it wasn't until 3 minutes before the end of the half that we took the lead - Harvey Elliott taking advantage of panic in their defence created by Tehi, and wriggling through to score from close in.

The second was more even with the wind in our faces. But we still bossed large parts and continued to create chances. Again it was late in the game before we sealed the points - 3 minutes from the end super-sub Terry Ablade slid the ball home.

    The team was:

    L. Ashby-Hammond; Asare, Armsworth, McAvoy, Odutayo; De Havilland, Page; Elliott, Hilton, Carvalho; Tiehi (Ablade 65')

Unused subs: Wickens, Tahir, Pajaziti and D'Aura Henry

    Reading 3 Fulham 2 (U18s)

Fulham fielded an attack minded side but letting the opposition go three up doesn't help the cause. Yet we could equally have had three as well in that time - missed chances has been the scourge of this season. The lads put in a bit of a fight back, first with a superb Sonny Hilton cut inside and low shot into the far corner. The second had a touch of fortune to it - Zico Asare's cross was way too strong but the wind caught the ball and blew it into the top corner.

    The team was:

Stahl; Asare, Armsworth, McAvoy, Odutayo; De Havilland, Page; Elliott, Hilton, Carvalho; Tiehi (Ablade 63')

Unused subs: Earle, Tahir, Parkes and Pajaziti

    Spurs 4 Fulham 0 (U18s)

Even the sun couldn't save us yesterday. Don't be misled by the score though, this wasn't a 4-0 drubbing. Regrettably, they took their chances and we didn't.

    The team was:

    L. Ashby-Hammond; Drameh, Asare, McAvoy, Odutayo (Parkes 82'); De Havilland, Page (Tahir 51'); Elliott, Hilton, Carvalho; Abraham (Tiehi 46')

    Unused subs: Chisholm and Ablade
