For our academy team to nights game is probably the most important match they have played. not only them but Hew Jennings, Steve Wigley, Malcom Elias, & the other youth coaches. Lets hope our 1st team management, and players are in attendance not only to watch but maybe ( LEARN ? )
Very entertaining game with some quality football being played by both teams. We showed amazing strength of character to come back from a goal behind and get the 3 goals. Some outstanding performances, rodak in goal made some great saves and deserves huge credit for keeping in the game. Burgess at the back was a real presence, fantastic player. Williams on left wing really stepped up as well and hyndman showed composure in the centre. Great all round team performance, roll on next Monday at Stamford bridge for the showdown. COYW
But what was that penalty all about? And in front of Felix, too. Looks brilliant if it comes off, but Dembele has a way to go yet before he can take a penalty as cooly as Berba.
Sadly I was double-booked last night so I didn't get to watch. I'll be there for the second leg where hopefully we'll finish the job. Come on you young Whites!
As mentioned in this and other posts we've been fielding pretty much the U16 side in League games recently. Unfortunately in this mornings match away to Middlesbrough they went down 9-1.
If you missed it, in fact even if you didn't, here are the goals from last night. As rosc said the First Team could learn a thing or two, especially about taking corners.
Yes! I thoroughly enjoyed that game. During the build up, it sounded like the TV people didn't give us a snowballs chance in hell against big, mighty Chelsea, but it's easy to underestimate the audacity of youth and the simple joy and belief that anything is possible.
A very credible 2-2 draw for the inexperienced U18 side away to Aston Villa earlier today. Unfortunately no details available from the Club.
Talking about big mighty Chelsea I mentioned to Mrs Cookie while watching the game big physically big Chelsea's youth team were, it did look like men against boys which us normally a negative saying but in this case it was factual luckily the boys matched them quality wise but the Chelsea team did just look like a men's team. Though Cameron Burgess looked like a solid Centre Half at the back maybe a first team squad place next year as I think the back four needs a complete overhaul
Lol we need to get rid of a lot of deadwood and bring in a few new players but the back four is in need,of a complete overhaul!

What a game so far. 2-2 so far on the night and Fulham looking the better side but the game's so open there's going to be a few more for sure. Fan banter sounds good as well !
I'm being forced to watch the game on a Chelsea TV stream due to ITV4 not having the rights to show the game in the Republic of Ireland. The commentary is ridiculously biased but the lads are making it worthy of putting up with. Been massively impressed with the usual suspects (Roberts, Moussa) but also Dean O'Halloran down the right. He changed the game when he came on last week and has been very influential so far in this. More of the same in the second half now boys.
Don't worry ITV4 is just as biased. I agree on O'Halloran he can certainly cross a ball. Fulham very impressive - the future is bright.
