Well just over a week before it opens. Presumably there has been a lot of talk between agents and our master recruiter Hill. No doubt PP has been tugging Hill's shirtsleeve and looking up with big sad cow-like eyes pleading for players to save our season and his job. I suspect though that like most other clubs and just about every other window in living memory, any new players wont be on the premises till at best the last week of the window. Followed by 4-6 wks of bedding in new players, it doesnt bode well. Add in our well documented financial woes and previously spruiked ( easier to transact , aka cheap and cheerful a la stewart ) loan players it may be time to stock up on the kleenex as I fear it will end in tears. Our new board members Sloanes and Jones ( soon to be followed in by moans and groans ? ) may hopefully prod donald into action ( if he can be ar5ed to leave his panic room ), alas and like most fans I dont believe action, change and improvement are part of PP's modus operandi. We have a pipe and slippers manager for a situation that would daunt a marvel superhero. Stand by for a couple of over the hill lower league clubless cap doffers that totally reflect PP's persona and maybe a couple of wet behind the lugs loans. Xmas at SAFC. A turkey owns us, a turkey manages us and we have turkeys playing for us. Stewart Donald, he gets us yer knaa!
You’re a cheerful chap aren’t you, why don’t you enjoy Christmas and the family celebrations (if you can) before it opens then see what happens in the new year instead of putting bile like this before the event
We can look on the bright side but deep down we all know he is right though. Free transfers and loan signings will show that we have no money and that the £10m "loan" was needed for day to day running costs. Stewart Donald's reported net worth is £8m, he is way out of his depth here. I Just hope the Americans intentions are honourable when they take the club off his hands when he inevitably fails to pay the £10m back to them
