    Got to be Danny Welbeck......

Id personally be interested to see either Noble or Tounkara given a go..........

    Thoughts?

Whilst I am all for encouraging younger players to come through, I personally think that if we want to develop into a threat to the top 6 we have no choice but to go for the finished article from elsewhere.

I think that we should definitely keep pushing through the younger ones for the future, but at the same time, we should bring in the quality bargains Brucie always seems to find

Got to agree mate, i put Heskey's name out there earlier just as an example of the type of player i think Brucey might go for but i'm pretty sure that he has stated that he intends to buy a proven, quality striker in the summer.

No matter where we finish this season, if we are to be challenging for a top 6 slot then we need to come out of the blocks running and for that to happen we need a solid squad from the start, we can't afford to bed players in next season IMO. Look at Villa, Everton, Liverpool although they seem to be making a recovery now but they have blown a top 4 slot for sure. We can't afford a slow start.

Haven't got a name to put forward but!
My first thought would be to go for someone who can head a ball really well, not just knock downs but actually attacking the ball and scoring headed goals.
It seems to be a dying art.
The only player I can think of at this time is Everton's Cahill, for a little guy he terrorises defences.
So someone like Cahill but maybe a bit taller. :)

2 of the first 3 are headers ;)

This is all 40-odd goals he scored for Toulouse, if you watch, you'll agree that he is the man.

    Fantastic striker.

Are comic book heroes allowed in the premier league though?

If so, we should sign Batman as well, right back.

Can't agree with that PB - he's the level of player that we used to go for, not what we should be going for if we want to progress. Good player, but the Championship is his level, to my mind.

Oh I agree would love welbeck plus another super star but only so much corn. The development of this guy in last few year has been amazing and he is a fit for the other option striker
