Tycoon in site hunt after sale snub over stadium

There is definately a train station in Melton.... If we build a stadium there are you saying the roads to the ground won't be improved?

Moving to Melton is the same as saying whats it like for Goole fans right now.... you can never please anyone 100%.

 

I pressume its your choice (or that of your family) to live in Leicester and the extra travel not forced on you.
I never said it would stop fans going just alienate them and where do you get only 10 extra mins from? I live in East Hull Village and work just near Priory Park and the bit from King Billy lights to Hessle turn off on Clive Sully takes more then 10 mins ok maybe not quite the same volume of traffic as rush hour on work day but there will still be a lot of traffic trying to go the same way.

The other thing is what about those that like to have a beer or two but now cant as they are forced to drive - just an after thought

I just think this whole Melton relocation is Allam spitting his dummy out, and having the council own the stadium does have its advantages

 

There isn't a train station in Melton .The nearest one would be either Ferriby or Brough.
The actual proposed site ( if it's the same land as our previous plans for a training ground) is probably closer to Ferriby than Melton.
For all Mr Allam knows he might just find that the residents in that area don't want a football stadium built on their doorstep .

Not sure what he or the East Ridiing CC would do if they had the local residents up in arms about the fact Hull City planned to move into the village .
Hull City should play in Hull .
The few people I have spoken to who live near the proposed site aren't exactly thrilled to bits . If this plan gathers pace those feelings , which at the moment are fairly indifferent ,could well lead to a protest against the stadium going ahead .
I'm not saying Allam is being arrogant to the fact but he shouldn't presume he can stick his stadium anywhere he likes .

Good point about all those who like a bevvy before and after the game . Duke and Sandpiper couldn't cope and where would away fans go ?

Like I have said before I can't see it happening in any case .

 

I know you might say this is wrong but here goes

I heard that the council lose money every year from the KC Stadium so if the sold it to the allems they would about (not a set figure)30 million, now if they don't sell and Hull City move somewhere else possibly with Hull FC then the KC will be empty which means the council will lose more money and have an empty stadium

However much i would like us to own our own stadium, i feel much safer in the fact its council owned therefore cannot be taken away from us if we hit financial rock bottom.

You'll be old enough to drive, and even old enough to pay reasonable insurance premiums by the time the stadium is built.

 

There could be clauses easily written into any agreement to prevent a David Lloyd scenario.

Also your point about the location makes no sense, where it is now is too far for midlands_tiger, Melton would be too far for you and if it was in East Hull it would be too far for me, you can't please everyone. There's no place on Earth that's close to everywhere.
