Leazes, they have both created similar amounts. I just think that Obertan needs a bit of time. He is a confidence player and we need to help him get confidence.

Agree, and I am willing to give him Saturday and especially Tuesday but if nothing comes, we can't continue with that attitude. I would like Marveaux to start on Saturday though, maybe play off the striker to give us more pace up there. Villa's defence is slow as ****, and the only teams they defend well against are teams like us, with just big blokes up front and no real skill on the ball.

I'd like to see Marveaux start as well, but in the hole. No point playing 2 strikers when only one of them's on form.

It seems to be just me, but I'd put Marveaux on the wing and Obertan off the striker. All semantics really as the pair of them plus Jonas can swap around and cause defenses headaches. Fingers crossed Cheick wakes from his hibernation this weekend.

Going to be a tough game this weekend. Villa are decent going forward and have a fair amount of pace. I'd be up for seeing Obertan in the hole to see if he can use his pace against a relatively slow Villa back 4. It's not like Shola, Best or Ba will do that!

If Shola starts again on Saturday I will cry. Literally cry, I really will. I just can't stand watching another half of football of that man. We need to be taking advantage of Villa's relatively slow back 4, and I bloody bet Pardew will start Shola. Also hope we play just one up front this match.

I'd like us to trust Best as well, in this 4-2-3-1 (which we wont play :(). Shola is ****e, and because there's no fee paid for Ba we shouldnt feel pressured to play him. Obertan/Marveaux/Jonas could be a nightmare to mark for Villa's defence.

Agree with Smudger, would love to see a front 4 of Jonas, Ober, Marv and Best. Plenty of movement to keep Villa thinking. Ba and Shola are too static (and in the latter's case just plain ****) and dunne et al would have them in their pocket.
