Two things really disappointed me yesterday...

Btw to the Female saints fan who saw me drop my scarf in the concourse, picked it up and chased me to give it back. Thank you, ive had that since i was 9. I offered to buy you a beer but i jumbled up my words and you thought i said thanks and walked away. You're fit.

Cracked under pressure, practice makes perfect though <ok>

Hi, just wondered why you didn't mover to the large section front left which was almost totally empty..you have sympathy.
Sadly it is part of the game, only my first away game of the season and I found the majority of the support stupendous, but with that many you will always get some bad eggs, we had "noisy norma" on our coach, obviously had too many sherbets at half time, never stopped yabbering all the way back, many on board were trying to doze but it was impossible, the biggest cheer of the day was when she got off at Winchester, nobody took the opportunity to ask her to give it a rest, all too well mannered! What did puzzle me was why did everyone in the South Stand remain standing throughout the game? My two young nephews had difficulty watching the game as their view was blocked throughout.

Hi fatletiss, I was sat 2 seats to your right - nice to meet you!!

I couldn't agree more with you about the guy, the only thing that stopped me saying something to him was the fact that he was so stupid I don't think he would have responded very well!
There is no place for people like him in our support, there was also some choice racist comments coming from him that need to disappear quickly from our support.
Lucklily idiots like him are few and far between so that your son can enjoy games for years to come.

I have no idea why Guly gets the abuse he gets and you are right if AL had done the same everyone would've shouted pure encouragement!

Here's to next Sat and 100% TRUE support to the team :-)

Hi Kingsland block 37 ... great to meet you too. Was that your Dad next to me? What a cracking bloke he was. When he first came to his seat, I thought this old fella might get a bit fed up with me and my son screaming and singing all the way through... little did I know that he would be shouting and singing too. If he was your Dad, what a top man. He did him self proud with his singing and vocal support of the team. Pleasure sitting next to you two.

You are right about the idiot. I think he would have turned on whoever said anything to him. Sometimes it's not worth it and in the end I used it as an example to my boy about how you shouldn't behave.

I'm starting to think this 'Guly bashing' is in people's heads.

I'm not sure where you sat, but we may have been in a similar area as I recall a boy doing similar things. That said, when Guly came on, there was a lot of applause and even chanting of his name. Do people at away games not hear these things? It is almost as if they block out the positives and focus solely on the negative aspects.

Yes it was my Dad sat next to you - I will pass on your praise :-). I've learnt all my support from him and as i'm sure your son will say that it's great to be able to have days out at the football with your Dad, no mater how old.
Look forward to bumping into you again!!

Yes there was when he came on, but after that people behind me and infront started the Guly bashing. maybe not a lot, but loud enough fro me to hear. It wasn't just Guly though, if you go back to the OP, I said that for the last 12 minutes the support dropped rather than increased, which I felt was what we needed.

I'll look out for you... I'm in Block 35, where we sit with my Dad!!
