Not one team played consistantly to their potential through the season...not even the winners. For me, it would seem the lower half teams are far more difficult to beat. You only have to look at at usual 40 point safety net, season before last 39 points left Bolton safe in 14th...this year, it got you relegated. These lower teams gave everyone hard games, and you can try and fathom our deficiencies all day, the fact is, its a tough league now. In general though, we scored less goals because our strikers do not suit our creative supply very well, none thrive on crosses, and/or aren't good enough. Imo, its as simple as that.
