1. Has anything been announced about the availability/price/loyalty discount of Season Tickets for the 2013-14 season? Are SFC waiting until we are definitely safe in the Premiership, before announcing the cost?

2. Does anyone know how much each position at the end of the season in the Premier League is worth, in direct financial payment from the Premier League, as opposed to more shirt sales, etc?

Could a bad run of form for Fulham, Swansea, and teams above them, help Saints, even if it appears that teams below us are catching up? Is there actually a large financial disparity between 17th (just safe) and 6th (If we get 55 points by winning all our remaining matches, and other teams' results are exactly what would help us - possible, but verging on fantasy)
 
It's fair to say that every final position higher a team can get is of greater benefit to them. The old adage of... they've got nothing to play for... shouldn't exist. Even achieving one place higher brings benefits in bonuses to players and extra prize money to clubs, and extra kudos from other players.

Incidentally, looking at the table and fixtures, I believe Fulham and Swansea are entirely catchable, and possibly West Brom too. I think Liverpool would have to have a slump in form for us to overhaul them, but nothing is out of the question except for those over 55 points already.
 
If football manager is anything to go by, which it often is. You get more money the higher you finish from the prem. As well as i would imagine more TV revenue the next season!

In the 2009-2010 season it was (£756,000 per finishing place in a 20 team league)
 
Last Season every club got £13,788,093 as an equal share of domestic TV income, plus £18,764,644 as an equal share of foreign TV income. That would be the same this year.

Each place in the table was worth £755,062 in prize money, with that amount going to the bottom club (Wolves) and 20 times that amount (£15,101,240) going to City who won the league.

As above if we finish 8th, then it's 1.5m more prize money than 10th 3m more than 12th, 4.5m (or 1 Rory Delap) more than 14th. So if we push on as hard as we can then we can buy the main man back and throw the ball further :)

Ha-ha, and I wasn't that keen on Rory Delap in the first place. Although he did have a few good games, if I cast my mind back. Not that many though. Steven Davis shall we say, as a fair comparison, is already coming out of it pretty favourably. :)
 
Just got back from the pub. Thanks for your replies, but it would seem that there is no (widely available) definitive answer about the value, at the end of this season, for each place in the Premier League. All of the responses (and thanks for all of them) refer to last year's figures, but with the widely-toted enormous sums available to teams this year, is there a definitive value for each placing, at the end of 2012-13 season? And to answer St Godders' comment, I have looked on Google, to no avail, so yes, I am hoping that someone else can solve my query, or at least point me towards an answer.
 
This year's will be very similar to last years. TV money is increasing for next year. doesn't mean the prize money will be affected this year. Might not increase at all next year and just be a bigger 'equal' payment with the actual prize money being the same. I expect the below will be pretty similar to this year. Suspect it isn't specifically an exact guaranteed amount at the beginning of the year and tied in with some bonuses / fines etc.

So 10th place got £8.3m. 8th got £9.8m and 12th got £6.7m. Total for 10th is £46.6m.

And that is increasing next year..........My god

On a topical note West Ham got £15m more than we did because of parachute payments....and finished behind us :)

Anyone who is a long term XTC appreciator is going to be on good terms with me.
 
To my knowledge reading through my researching it is a 3 year cycle that follows the TV money (this being the 3rd year), so the prize money on place finishing should be exactly the same as last year. I have no idea about next season as I don't think it has been decided yet.

I'm sorry but, you have been given figures for about the last 3 seasons. Why don't you analyse these, see what changes year upon year are made and apply that percentile change on the 2012 season figures to them to work out what they are roughly. I doubt they are even made public information yet, as accounts for this season will be fully released after it's finished. What possible reason could you have to know the exact figures. I'm fairly certain last seasons will do for whatever you may need! The cheek of asking a question, getting some fantastic answers then demanding more. And only thanking in brackets?! Seriously, some people.

I have read that next year with the new TV deal. The prize money for 20th will be the same as Citeh got for winning the league last season. Crazy.

With this extra money coming in West Ham still wanted to increase the season tickets for disabled fans by 107%. That is pure greed.

RLSGM, I'm sure peaches an cream wasn't being ungrateful. If not606 wants to carry on growing and being successful as it is it will benefit from some good open questions and positive answers.
 
As Pessimiskick said, I'm not ungrateful for the information, and probably my worst crime here is laziness, combined with a desire to dash off my request before going to the pub.
