Hopefully he is just reaffirming his commitment and long term ambitions. Unlikely to be about Adkins. Otherwise what could it be about? Liebherrs want out? New big money shareholder? Cortese wants out?
Something he has been extremley short of, it has taken him 10 days to finally come out and give an explanation, no bollocks what so ever. didn't even show his face at the press conference.
He has been quiet . To see that as a lack of balls is IMHO wrong . What explanation is he going to give ? Why he / the Club decided Nigel's time was up ? As Beef said a while ago , none of us know and I doubt we ever will . I expect tomorrows interview will all be about the new manager and Cortese's / owners / board's vision of thye FUTURE for SOUTHAMPTON FOOTBALL CLUB . I hope he says a Thank you to Nigel , but doubt he will .
Think it will be in reference to Adkins. Even Cortese can't fail to have noticed that many questions have been raised. Think everyone needs to hear his vision for the clubs future and that may in part answer those questions surrounding Adkins sacking.
Persumably, you are one of the very few who would love to have the likes of Lowe, Wilde, etc... back running [perhaps that should be ruining] the club. Cortese doesn't have to answer any questions on what he considers a business decision, that is to the benefit of Southampton FC. Besides, whether you or I take a dim view of his actions matters not a jot in the long run.
