Well we might not, but if Rooney told the media what he had for breakfast, I'm sure it would eventually get on the mainstream news, in the mistaken belief that because they shove the crap at us we love to hear about it. It would probably be ahead of something that was actually important, as well. Such is modern life.
 
anyway twitter is alot better than the traditional media, who report the same stories about an hour later than twitter
