Sounds a great idea to me, but how is it that we may now be able to increase SB capacity to 60k? Have H&F had a change of heart?

Would be fine for me, but surprised RFU are considering this, don't see it happening. The locals will probably object as well. I doubt the playing surface is up to the standard we need either - would we pay for it to be relaid?

id have thought Wembley would have been more suitable, maybe even the Olympic stadium - especially as it's closer to my house ;)

To be honest, I wouldn't care where we played on a temporary basis (as long as the pitch was good quality) on the basis that this would indicate we are staying at the Bridge, with a c.60k stadium.

Chelsea>100s. Agreed, but maybe the council have stopped playing silly buggers and realised that if nothing was approved, the club would move. I guess they are worried about the loss of revenue to the area. If we achieve 55k+, that would be really good - we must improve the size significantly - we cant carry on long term with just over 40k. We are bigger than that.

To be honest, I though the Battersea plans would have gone through and was ready for that. If we can manage that level of increased seats at the Bridge, there would be songs of joy all over the place. Bring it on.

Stamford Bridge can expand, it has room, and I think they have permission to go up if they need, what it doesn't have sufficient access/exit capacity to comply with safety standards. I guess they are still looking into a bridge over the tube line.

I live not far away. Like **** are we letting your louts in our town every other weekend! <grr>

It's been suggested for Spurs before too. I don't think it's well suited for football at all.

I think you guys should ground share with Fulham at Craven Cottage for a season. Or Brentford might let you have Giffin Park once they've moved into their new stadium :p

Makes sense, the train line is a natural route in or out, they could even run an overhead to New Kings Road, it's not that far. Perhaps demolish and rebuild a hotel or two?? Some stadiums are now integrating hotels into the stand buildings, they are looking at that at the Melb Cricket Ground. Incidently they got 99,948 people to the Aussie rules final last saturday. We would fill a 60,000 stadium every day for mine.
