I think Bruce was right when he said some of our players are 'Big Time Charlies'. If Davies has a problem with Bruce or the club, then he should have a word in private. Davies has looked a lot better without Dawson. He hasn't had a great season but when Dawson had been out he has looked more like his old self (Everton at home) but it is a bit of a poor show by city not to have rewarded him with a new deal after his exploits last season, especially when another centre back is brought in on probably double his wages. Bruce needs everyone on side and needs to be careful about what he says in public.

Davies can **** right off. He was a championship player going nowhere when Bruce signed him. Yes he was one of our best players last season but his form has been nowhere near that this season and if seems to be over contract gripes and/or a bit of Dawson jealousy.

Is it Alex related as most of the comments seem to be coming from defenders - or is it that Steve was a defender himself so is harder on them? I haven't seen Bruce's comments, but if they were made to the press after the match then how are his comments any different from Davies? He could have said mistakes were made and then bollocked the individual players in private. By naming names without them having a chance to defend themselves isn't exactly going to win friends. He should be looking for ways to gel the team together, not piss of individuals who with our long list of injuries are becoming more essential to survival. I don't think Aluko's comments would have helped either - I know if I was one of the City defenders I would be wanting to kill Aluko after his comments after poor defending - especially after his repeated failure to score.
