strangely, i read fire and ice after the series ended and was surprised in the difference, mind i think i have watched GoT at least five times, bugger all else i fancy watching.
I listened to the audiobook House of the Dragon is based on and it was ok but it felt like a bit of a history lesson. The first series of the show wasn't bad but we watched the first episode of series two and I think we've ditched it, it's just not very compelling. Keep a look out for the Hedge Knight series by the same author, the stories are cracking and casting looks spot on. Sometime next year probably.
