Not one mention of Starskey and Hutch Miami Vice Dukes of Hazard....daisy dukes hotpants. Magnum PI Etc.
Best: Boardwalk Empire or Homeland (Despite earlier criticism on here) Worst: Breaking Bad or Gotham (Really wanted to like Gotham but after 10 minutes of it's debut I realised the acting was Barry White and haven't watched it since)
For us oldies The Army Game, and its spin off Bootsie and Smudge. Best modern Vikings just started series four, if you like blood and guts get it watched. Worst, Are you being served, utter gash.
Bit of a niche category but the Office (US) is my favourite series. I can happily watch episodes multiple times. Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones are unbelievably overrated. Never has a show had so much potential and gone to such utter tripe as Lost.
Just like The Antiques Roadshow!! Gripping stuff!! You never know what's going to come through the doors!!! Literally edge of seat tv!!
Who lives in a house like this... When you enter the room, there are sweets strategically dotted around and if you follow the trail, you end up in the back of a Range Rover. A big 12ft mirror which appears to be covered in spit. An iPhone 6 that appears to have 136 unread whatsapp messages. A book "How to survive in prison". A grey tracksuit. A loaded starter pistol. A crying girlfriend.
One of my favourite shows in recent years is Banshee, for some reason very few people seem to know it but I think it's superb. Lots of good things about it but to pick one thing it has the grittiest, most brutal fight scenes I've ever seen. On a totally different note I've been really enjoying an animation called Bob's Burgers, good natured and funny. Stuff I don't like...there's loads but crap like The Voice and Made in Chelsea can **** off. Pretty much all reality tv.
My opinion:- 'Soap' is the best comedy series ever to come here from the Mercans, starring Billy Chrystal and the rest of the 'comedies' have been, generally, absolute rubbish . . . . mainly because of the stupid canned laughter (the exception being 'Cheers' which was moderately humorous) 'Prison Break' is the best drama series, starring Wentworth Miller, that I can remember (even though it seemed to go on for about 15 years) and I remember 'A Man Called Shenandoah' being very good Over here there have been far too many fantastic comedy series to pick a favourite (although I probably could if I could be bothered to think about it for fecking ages), including Steptoe & Son, George and Mildred/The Dragon, Fools and Horses, It's a Knockout, Some Mothers do 'Av Em, Please Sir, On the Buses, everything that Ronnie Barker appeared in, Love Thy Neighbour ( they should repeat that series ) Till Death Us Do Part, Question of Sport when Crazy Horse, and later Ally McCoist were in it, Blot on the Landscape (which many won't have even heard of), Boys from the Blackstuff (same), Stella, and lots more sketch shows featuring Benny Hill, Morecambe & Wise, Stanley Baxter, Dick Emery, Les Dawson . . . . that's a long list/sentence There have also been a few very poor comedy series, and by far the worst has been 'The Office' which was completely devoid of any humour whatsoever . . . . I tried watching it and it was absolutely ****e Coronation Street is obviously the best drama series ever and I remember the likes of Bonanza, The High Chapparal, Upstairs Downstairs, Danger Man, The Saint, Budgie, and Colditz all being brilliant
I've told you before that I'm 26 I'm just remembering the programmes that my dad told me about . . . . obviously
It's all about opinions, I could watch an entire series of near enough everything you've just listed (Stella FFS ) in the 'good' column, and not laugh once, I've watched The Office box set probably more than 50 times and it still gets me every time. Prison Break was great though, we can agree there.
