well, watching house of the dragon and the rings of power. have to say both are struggling to keep me 'glued', i watch little television as all i see now are repeated stories from many years ago with different characters or reality rubbish. when will they bring out 'celebrities tits out in a mask'? i wonder...celebs get up on stage, whip them out and wobble them for the cameras and we have to guess the owner, i might even force myself to watch that one.
Rings of Power is getting better and building quite nicely imo. 'Celebrity tits out' is certainly one to keep an eye out for.
Rang our lad up and said I don’t understand the story line, he asked me about it and then told me I’d watched the last one first
Great seeing Paddy Considine smashing it in the new series of Thrones, I've always thought he's an underrated actor and this is the biggest role he's had so it's good to see him nailing it.
Not for me, it's a bit limited in scope compared to the original but it's the same quality imo. Just not as interesting because of the narrow focus.
It's too dark, not a lot happens... the interminable build up between the the contenders just dragged on. Tbh I was a big fan of GoT and was looking forward to this but was hugely disappointed.
I know what you mean mate it's one that could go either way for people who liked the original. There's no denying it's a lot slower than GoT, I suppose it depends on how much you enjoy the politics of both shows.
If you've got Disney and like a crime drama do yourself a favour and watch this, it's straight from the top drawer. One of my all time top three.
I think I have seen clips of this online before didn't realise it was on there might have to take a look. It's good I'm about 4 episodes in. One of them when you look and think it's not the usual subject for tv show (drugs, gangs, cops etc...) but it works. I'm waiting for a few more episodes of the old man to be on there before I give that a look.
Yeah it's an interesting setting and storyline I really liked the low key authentic feel to it, great writing too. Give Mr Inbetween a try mate I doubt you'll be disappointed. It's a belter.
If anyone is looking for something to watch, I would recommend The Old Man on Disney+. It stars Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow. The synopsys is this :- Dan Chase (Bridges) absconded from the CIA and lives off the grid. When an assassin arrives and tries to take Chase out, the old operative learns that to ensure his future he now must reconcile his past. The FBI's Harold Harper (Lithgow) is called on to hunt him down because of his complicated past with the rogue fugitive. When Chase proves to be more difficult to apprehend than the authorities expected, a highly trained special ops contractor is sent to pursue him as well. While on the run, Chase rents a room from Zoe McDonald, who draws on reserves she never knew she had to survive the day when she learns the truth about her new tenant.
