That is a fair assessment, he was not too clever to begin with but has forged a good partnership with Bassong now and is looking better, nice to see him contributing with some goals too
You make out the fans were unjust to get sick of him basing their decision on style over substance which is absolutely not true. Want to blame the coach for not getting the best out of him? Ok. Blame the training facilities? Ok. Blame his ****ing travel agent? Ok. Don't blame the fans for getting sick of someone who isn't good enough. Nothing to do with fashion.
Some players fall out of favour and are moved on prematurely for one reason or another. Adam Johnson would not have got the lickings of a dog on not606 - criticism was justified - however he was coming a pariah, now he is a near legend. McLean is another yet PDC starts with him - I wouldn't - but I would not sell him on, let PDC work with him. Turner not good enough? - Just your opinion - still drawing a salary at a premier league club and doing okay from what I can gather.
