Thought we played well that half , better than the last 3 or 4 tournaments . Just need to sharpen up the finishing . Never a penalty , he was just turning around

Maybe switch Deli Ali for Delph / Rashford, then more of the same and we'll coast home second half.

    Very frustrating.

Kane has one kick and scores. Fair enough. That's his job.

The rest of the attacking players were awful in front of goal.

    It's inexcusable.

    Pathetic.

too much faffing about at the back. eg goalie has room and time to smack the ball into the other half but. plays it to defender, who gets closed down and passes it to goalie. striker closes goalie down. goalie makes confined attempt to lump the ball forward. result worse.

    Gareth Southgate recently

“Whenever you represent England, or any other country, there’s expectation, there’s hope, you carry the dreams of a nation, and it’s impossible to say to any player you can go out and play without any feeling of pressure or any feeling or fear.

“But what you have to do is make sure that doesn’t control you and that you go for it in your performances. You don’t feel: ‘Oh, I was inhibited in the way I played’ or worry about making mistakes because mistakes will happen for certain. So no, I think pressure is what you perceive and very often that comes from listening to too much external noise. Actually we have to focus on the things we can control and they’re things within our camp and within our team.”

He'll be dwelling on the positives.

    So should we.

Sterling seemed amused by each near miss, scuffed attempt whereas other players would be angry with themselves shaking a fist. That tattoo on his leg should be a waddling Charlie Chaplin.

Don't the VAR people have a word in the ref's ear about the rugby tackles?
