Dont know if you read a thread a while back where I was saying that the pharmaceuticals are pushing depression as being the next big thing
A lot of doctors are pushing citalopram onto people for allsorts of ailments

But yeah I remember when my kid was born (he has a disability) they tried to say I needed it to help me 'cope' told them to fook off
one of the main side effects of citalopram

    depression <laugh>

Nah I've had them for a while never really took them on GP advice if I'm being 100% truthful it keeps me out the job center, and I'm quite unliked in this town by junkies and such so staying out the job center usually saves me a trip to cop shop or hospital <grr>

Depression is a funny one, its being treated as a treatable mental condition when it is more than likely just a state of mind better serviced by psycological treatement (e.g psychologist) than by flinging dopamine mimicing drugs at people. Stay off the anti-depressants, from personal familial experience, once you are on them you aint coming off them lightly

I have a few firends and relatives inb the pharmaceutical game as well as doctors and tbh whenever i get any new prescription i tend to speak to them
what you say is spot on re staying off them

the side effects of these things can be lethal and make you more depressed.
unfortunately its like anything else, people look to pills as a cure all.
    cant **** - take a pill
cant shag - take a pill

I actually agree I'm not a fan of taking drugs that are not illegal.

Truth is most prescription drugs are a waste of time, getting a sickline though? priceless.

So you prefer them to continually feed you pills to temporarily hide the problem rather than getting to the bottom of it

No but i can put my bets that being Scottish i know far many people that claim to be depressed than you that don't actually take the tablets they are prescribed because they do **** all.

    Therefor you are talking ****e.

I know what my problem is, getting to the bottom of it will never happen and you'll just need to agree with me on that because unlike some people i actually have family issues that are cover more problems than arguing and I've no interest in posting them either because a quick look at google will tell you my family history if you knew who i was and who i was directly related to.

Were they not doing anything for you? You should have told the doc and he would have given you something else.

Pair of you do not know what you are talking about, cannabis is the best anti depressant on the planet its just you 2 are haters that's all.

For the record i take Trazodone for sleeping purposes not for depression purposes.
