Sorry Glory but the boys in the FA and FL have a habit of doubling up on teams beginning with L. The record points deduction was Luton Town. Luton Town's 24th place finish in League One in 2007â08 meant the club competed in League Two. The club was deducted 30 points at the start of the season; 10 by The Football Association for irregular matters involving player transfers, and 20 by the Football League for breaking rules on exiting administration. As a result, the club finished bottom of the league and was relegated to the Conference Premier. I'm certain that one or other is looking to impose unrighteous indignation on the Italian and then some. You really do need some other owner to come in and turn it round. I thought the other consortium were still in the wings. I hope you don't have to suffer any similar fate as the hatters who are only just beginning to recover and look likely to get back into the league, but hopefully the disarray at Elland Road will continue until after tonight's game. Best of luck after tonight I'm certain that others will be in for you to avoid the appointment of administrators, however it is your wage bill that makes other bidders cough and the fact that the buyer will only get the team not the ground or training ground, which they will continue to pay rent on. Unfortunately for you guys the quickest way of cutting the wage bill is administration.
It's been and gone as far as I am aware. It wasn't a 'court' case, it was a hearing in front of an independent QC. The verdict: The QC want's more time to think about it. No date given. EDIT - Sorry, should have looked at Page 2!
Consider yourselves warned, Liverpool... IF they go into administration, I won't have any sympathy for them. Nothing personal, but I've stopped feeling bad for clubs in admin since Southampton. Their wage bill is the reason why they're midtable and not battling against relegation. I don't really think they will go into admin this season, maybe next season or in the summer. I won't be celebtrating if it happens to them. But I definitely won't be wasting any time or energy hoping they don't, and I won't feel too bad for them (as a club) if they do. I wouldn't expect them to feel bad for Charlton if it happened to us. I wouldn't gloat at the fans, it's not all been their fault. Must be nearly time for Portsmouth to rip off some local business again.
