Not really woolly. Often bumpers are run at a crawl, if they crawl over hurdles they don't get into a decent rhythm for jumping. A lot of them cannot jump and a lot of them are excellent and quick and economical over their hurdles. It's a whole different ballgame and a lot of very good bumpers do not take to hurdles. If you want a prime example look up a horse called STAR TROUPER.
Suppose it takes an talented horse to be good over both! And you just automatically think a good bumper will be a good hurdler
