WATERSMEET should get the hat trick up tomorrow and at 11/10 I'm happy to double me money. Running in the 3.50 Chelmsford.
Also I like DANOT in the 3.00 Ponte. The outsider for this but the trainer won this race last year and DANOT has winning form over this distance of 6f.

MARCIANO 11/2 Pontefract 2:00 improved enormously on his first start for Mick Appleby to win at Southwell by five lengths from 6lbs out of the handicap. Raised 9lb for that success and if he translates that form to the turf it is surely not enough to stop him going in again. The same 7lb claimer takes the ride again.

Few for me today

Pontefract 2.00 -Marciano
3.00 - Edgar Balthazar

Chelmsford 3.50 - Watersmeet

Fairy house 6.25 - An dearg Mor

Hi Mick - my mates horse runs in this race - Al Destoor .. Middleton is thinking if he can get a strong pace - probably set by Watersmeet - then it can win ... so something to consider if you haven't already plunged ... good luck to all ..

Cheers for the heads up on that Ekbalco, Will probably do the forecast with yours and mine.

Ain't the dialogue moved onto the old Grand National yet, pilgrims?!? I guess it will be viewed as a muted one this term, on the forum, due to Mr Henderson not having a runner. In fact I have heard it whispered the Racecourse Executive were very close to calling the whole think off when he pulled out Hadrian's Approach. This years renewal seems to resemble the ‘Boat Race’ without Oxford, strawberries without cream, fish without chips or an episode of ‘Richard and Judy’ without Judy.

Barney I could have swore it was the boat race without cambride
cream without strawberries , chips without fish , and whilst im debating please enlighten me who the hell are richard and judy lol

Harry Redknapp is tipping QPR against Aston Villa on the grounds that Sandro is the best player they signed under him, so that surely makes tonight’s game look like a worse bore draw than Burnley versus Tottenham (another former Harry club) on Sunday. Both QPR and Villa should go down; they are dreadful.

We should be putting in multiple bets with Tiger Woods to win at Augusta and Andy Murray to beat Novak Djokovic anytime soon...

Afternoon troops, three wee flutters for me at fairy
4.25 captain von trappe 16/1 ew
4.55 I dont normally like backing a horse who hasnt run in over 9 odd months but I think thomas edison can show he is the class horse in the field running off top weight.last seen when winning the galway hurdle he is running for a stable bang in form.im on ew 8s
5.55/6.25 caronstown boy/an dearg mor double 3/1

who the hell are richard and judy lol

Who are ‘Richard and Judy’?!? Cor blimey only ‘Light Entertainment’ Royalty. I met the former incidentally at Newbury races once and he was a gentleman personified.

Re the Grand National if Racing Post Ratings are anything to go by those old rogues the Pipe’s may as well be handed the purse now. They are responsible for 3 out of the top 4!

advice needed .. why remove the headgear from Marciano ?? Won with it last time ?
Ek the handicappers can put extra weight on if it is over worn I think, so they may not fancy the chances and leave out the headgear

I've been messing about racing since Nicholas Silver won the national in 1961 ... and I've never heard that before ?? Surely it can't be the case - I will be delighted to be proved wrong mate ... anyone else got a view on this ?... anyway in MARCIANO case they need to re-fit the headgear and also a large rocket !!
