Too many times to remember Arkle re McCoy getting that bit extra out of a finish. Top horses i am looking forward too are 1. Flemenstar 2. Sprinter Sacre 3. The Giant Bolster 4. Hurricane Fly(i wasn't a fan then i was and now i want to see if he is the real deal as i'm somewhere inbetween with him still) 5. Elembridge King
We mustn't all keep choosing Sprinter Sacre....ssshhhh....we need to talk up Finians Rainbow,Sizing Europe,Sanctuaire etc to keep the potential SPs reasonable for the "Black Aeroplane" as he is now known. Though Barry Geraghty has already made it quite clear what he thinks of him....the best he has sat on...and I'm sure you are all aware of his associations with Moscow Flyer and Kicking King !l
Must say Sanctuaire is another one to look forward too, really impressive at the back end of last season wasn't he. So much too look forward too really and after a terrible year weather wise for the flat it is a very warm welcome to get stuck back into the Jump's.
The Dutching win bet would have paid off in the last race at Taunton...anyone know what happened to the alleged Hobbs hot pot ?
WLYT.....Nijinsky was rated higher than Sir Ivor....and Dancing Brave was rated higher than Golden Fleece.....ask Messrs Piggott and Eddery who were the best they sat on and they would say Sir Ivor and Golden Fleece......I prefer to trust Barry Geraghty's judgement personally...but each to their own !
a typo which should say "their" .....I do my own spellchecks as I am a stickler for correct spelling too !
Geraghty has naiver said Sprinter Sacre is tha beszt he's sat on. He has mentioned he has the potential too(massive difference) “Bar disaster at Cheltenham he was going to win,” says Geraghty. “To break a track record at somewhere like Newbury — on the bridle — is incredible. He’s a monster. “Next year he will go for the Champion Chase. He is only a six-year-old so there is still possible improvement in him, but he would not need to improve an awful you would imagine. He’s the nearest to Moscow Flyer but time will tell if he is as good, or even better. He’s so stylish, it’s the way he does it – he’s a freak.”
Thanks RV ! WLYT...with respect... I heard him interviewed and he categorically said he was the best he had sat on and jumped a lot better than Moscow Flyer did ! He will prove it over the next few seasons.....as long as he stays injury-free.
Which 5 are you looking forward to most this NH season then RV ? Hopefully, you saw a few of our picks earlier on, on this thread ?
WLYT...with respect. ??? No link???????? I jus pravided ya wiv a link as proof. He never said anythin o tha sort
I did indeed. A few of the same for me as well. 1 Sprinter Sacre 2 Simonsig 3 Darlan 4 Big Bucks 5 Tarla (has already had a few runs)
WLYT I also heard Gerraghty say that and here is evidence. Sprinter Sacre is trained by Nicky Henderson but his rival trainer Kim Bailey insisted: “This horse is the second coming. Unbelievable.” And his jockey Barry Geraghty said: “This is quite simply the best horse I ever sat on.” He added: “I rate Sprinter Sacre the best horse I have ever ridden and can’t wait to ride him in Tuesday’s Arkle Chase. The very thought makes the hairs on the back of my head stand.”
WLYT....I heard him interviewed on both TV and the radio.....please don't try and think I am making it up...I have no need to....believe as you wish !
