Not backing this so regular readers no need to reach for your pens and then dash to the bookies / phone / interweb (delete as appropriate) to place a bet but arguably the most interesting runner out tomorrow is at Worcester – Oscara Dara (6.05). Formerly, he was trained by Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer, but now he can be found residing in the county under the care of Neil ‘Mullers’ Mulholland. Oscara Dara’s last run was at Grade 1 level, over 2 years ago, and he certainly did well for our sports shining star, winning 4 times, including at Listed level and finishing 6th in a World Hurdle.

Oscara Dara runs tomorrow in a Beginners Chase but he has had one run previously over the big ‘uns, when a very respectable 2nd to Cantlow, at the back end of ’12. No idea how he’s fared this past couple of years and his fitness does have to be taken on trust but as he’s a perch of 140 over fences (and last ran over hurdles when rated 151) Oscara Dara looks some way in advance of tomorrow’s opponents if returning, anywhere approaching his best, with Noel ‘Touchy’ Fehily booked.

Isn’t a betting proposition, at all, as likely to be relatively short in the market, and as I say his fitness does have to be taken on trust and no way can ‘Mullers’ improve on the perfection that Oscara Dara’s former handler achieves on a day to day basis but is very interesting back on the track and I await this outing with keen interest.

Hint of a Tint for wachman tomorrow. Has won on heavy and 14lbs lower than last having been 4th in same race
 
Sir Chuckles put up the horse I'm hoping runs well tomorrow. Clearly not a bet, but I'd love him to run very well.
 
Huge tip for tomorrow.....

Not so much a horse but the fact that De Sousa goes to lowly Wolverhampton on the sand when he could have no doubt sat on a much better quality of horse at the Glorious meeting.

Now which ones does he fancy is the only question??

I was more of the thinking that he'd be avoiding the big meeting in hope of gaining some "easy winners" at wolverhampton and other meetings this week to consolidate his lead in the jockeys championship.

I say this as I slowly watch my early season champion jockey punts on both Ryan Moore and Will Buick become more and more rubbish bin bound.

I agree Fabio, I think this exactly why he has gone but it's not too obvious which ones he feels will provide him with winners. His winners have been supplied by Mark Johnston and Brian Ellison, whilst BE has no mounts for him tomorrow MJ has two, and these would be the obvious contenders to lump on, problem is however I don't particularly fancy either. I predict he will have at least a double tomorrow but not sure which ones.

By the way I have already put all three of your selections in a five horse multiple bet for tomorrow with two others for a fun play on the first day - we obviously select along the same lines.. Good luck.

<rofl> I know, it crossed my mind too! But looking at it literally Henry's Riveria Sun beat it last day and I'd say his Solatenif should be another step up from that one. I'll not pass him over next time out in a nice wee handicap over 2m2 though ;)

Goodwood looks pretty underwhelming to be honest so I'll have a small placepot with no proper fancies jumping out.

Vastonea 6.50 Galway looks an e/w bet to me.

Vaxalco 20/1 for Jim Culloty in the 5.45 beginners chase can hit the frame if ironing out some jumping errors.
 
The Topaz mile at Gaillimh look's a useful contest but picking the winner will prove very difficult. Brendan Bracken is the one I keep coming back too at 12's. Is on a winnable mark, acts on the ground, has course and distance winning form from '13 and has Robbie Downey taking a handy 5 off his back. Colin Keane chooses to ride Ger's Unsinkable who is favourite but having travelled beautifully last time out at Navan, sailing clear, found little off the bit and I'd be suprised if he gets up that hill In front tomorrow. Lyons has 5 entered and In a race where a case can be made for most, I will side with Brendan Bracken as an each way poke in this.

In the 7.50 there I am taking Beat The Ballot at 10/1 each way also. Was an unlucky loser last time out where he found trouble at crucial stages in the race. This is not the toughest assignment he will face and although he will have to be at his best to win, I feel he is capable from this mark of giving weight away and making the frame at the least. Chris Hayes is back on board for Tracey Collins as Smullen is retained by some Weld fella having his first Galway runner!

E/W Singles and a small E/W Double.
