He got beaten a head in the King George when losing a little ground and momentum at every fence by jumping out left. He'd definitely stay 3 miles on a left handed track and if he was with any other owner/trainer they'd have chanced their arm in the Gold Cup. He might not stay the extra 2 furlongs up the hill but anyone else would have wanted to try. If he goes back and win the Ryanair again he'll join exalted company in repeat Ryanair winners.......Alberta's Run.
Simonsig wee bit disappointing, winner win easy and a miles below par Vautour (overrated dog ) managed to beat him too...
Often said but when the Tyners go for it, they usually get it. Wish I'd followed in but was 18's in places from 50/1 and I said I'd let it run.
OUTLANDER 7/2 for my first bet here. Think the trips the making off him, fresher than some here and no disgrace losing to a peak condition Kerry Lee horse the last day.
Sad news on RP website of the death of Harry Whittington's stable star Arzal. Suffered complications from an injury sustained when winning at Aintree earlier this month. Must be a real kick in the gonads to a small yard following a marvellous season. I was looking forward to seeing how far Arzal could progress following his novice campaign.
Going to back Someday of Jessica Harrington's in the bumper at 5/1...seems to be a bit of support throughout the day for him and a meeting she favours particularly.
