Lets see what tomorrow brings, the all weather selections are more hopeful than confident but the two evening selections are full on bets. I would not be surprised if none of the afternoon selections win but would be disappointed if the two evening ones do not bolt up.
Wolverhampton
2.15 La Asomada 3-1
Price looks attractive in this field and worth taking a chance that the horse is better suited to all weather than turf, the race has little depth which makes me interested in 3-1 to beat Bushwise, which is how I am reading this punt, watch neither even place now!
3.45 Come on Dave 9-4
This is a claimer in which it could be argued that 3 of them are better than claimers, i really could not decide between the selction and Clumber Street but the stat that made up my mind is that come on dave has run in two claimers at Wolverhampton and won both, lets hope he can land the hat trick.
4.45 Ickymasho 9-2
The question is does this selection have anything left in her mark, and I am hoping she does, I felt she finished last season really well and was given a nice pipe opener on turf last month, I don't like George Baker in big fields on the all weather as he can leave them too far out of their ground but with 7 runners I think he should be ok.
Wetherby
7.50 Winterval 5-2 best bet non runner replaced with Pendergrast Hill 9-2
There is nothing that does not suggest this horse will not win tomorrow, beaten by a much improved rival last time over a slightly inadequate 8f,should take this. This horse was one of many removed from Luca Cumani to Roger Varian, I think this decision is one of the best in horse racing this season as these horses are winning and running well from first time up. Luca is a great trainer but in my view is too patient, he looks to my eye to form a target for a horse and then bring him along on the track towards it, when it comes off it looks good but when they don't hit their target you can end up with a horse who has the ability to have had more success than he ended up with. I think RV tends to say here is a race lets try and win it. In my view Roger Varian and Michael Stoute are the best in Newmarket.
8.20 Torch 5-4
This looks banker material but the horse above just gets that on account of an unexposed Stoute horse and a decent enough looking Karl Burke runner, this said I will be incredibly surprised if Torch does not win this, the 5-4 is short and so I think it will drift but have taken best odds guaranteed as always.
Good luck all
