afternoon, fellas! wish you all a good and prosperous cheltenham meeting..so,here my first verdict for the first race: SUPREME NOVICE HURDLE a very competitive start to kick things off,but ive the gut feeling, that ARAMON will run a massive race here.has already won his fair share of grade 1 events this season, and was only narrowly beaten by stablemate klassical dream last time out.so,if he gets a good tow into the race, represents a nice e w alternative..
Unless your on the other forum just nip on to the Cheltenham thread and post it on that adding how much of that free grand you would like to stake. Ron Needs You!
In addition to the ones I put up in the comp, Fakir D'Oudaires, Lake View Lad and A Plus Tard I've had an e/w interest on Brandon Castle in the opener and I'm siding with the as yet unknown potential of Laurina in the Champion Hurdle
Same here. Probably not quite good enough but will try her heart out and love conditions. 33/1 ew appeals to me. 1.30 The Elliott pair both ew 2.10 Hardline (but would be very happy to see Lalor prevail) 2.50 Noble Endeavour ew 3.30 watch and enjoy with a tiny ew on an old favourite Silver Streak @ a whopping 100/1. 4.10 JJ ew 4.50 Highway One O One and Good Man Pat 5.30 Chef Dex Obeaux ew (though I've just read that Hendo's last winner anywhere at a distance over 3.5 miles was way back in 2006! Hadrians Approach) In summary I'm hoping Elliott has a far better Tuesday than 2018. Good luck everyone.
1:30 - Al Dancer 2:10 - Glen Forsa, Kalashnikov e/w 2:50 - Mister Whitaker e/w 3:30 - Laurina 4:10 - Limini & Lady Buttons to follow Altior in 4:50 - Cubomania & Tower Bridge 5:30 - Ok Carral, Jerrysback e/w Good luck to all as I think we might need it today...
probably yes,but also ran already well on softer going,so thats not too much of a worry for me.. ARKLE CHASE a tough call for me,between LALOR and kalashnikov,as i like both a lot,but the former might be a tad more solid,on what hes achieved so far.also has good course form, which is always a big plus here..
Good afternoon chaps I'm on Al Dancer in the opener - but what a trappy race this is ..... I like Fakir but dislike the record of juveniles in the Supreme Also a small stakes ew bet on Itchy Feet at 28-1 Apart from the potential Wollacott fairy tale in the Arkle, surely Glen Forsa would be a welcome British winner. The seeming confidence behind Hardline is worrying though! I seldom spend Big Bucks on the handicaps at Chelts, but difficult to ignore Give Me A Copper in the Ultima, and the yard are buzzing. I am in the Laurina camp for the CH, I acknowledge that Apples and BVD have proven form in the book at this level, but this lady could be right out of the top drawer. And talking of ladies ............ I can't desert Lady Buttons even though I can't see her being good enough to win this. I think she is better at 2 miles, and chases rather than fences - but could she beat Altior? Clearly not, so I wish her connections good luck for her safe return, and hope they enjoy their day. I have barely scanned the final 2 races, and if the above are failures, may not do at all Good luck all (except those pie-eating Fat Jokers)
A Mullins Treble to start us off? 1.30 Klassical Dream 2.10 Duc Des Genievres 2.50 Up for Review I doubt that would surprise anybody, at all.
Ruby riding only one of them too...interesting he seems to have been more selective on his rides for the opening day.
Trainer stated that the horse seemed to like better going. I am on Aramon each way 7 places but m confidence is dented by the rain for sure.
Am going tomorrow Florida and there s a news item I see on Racing Post about it...they are looking at a number of options..
