Nass: You mentioned Bookiesindex Boy earlier, i didn't see the race BUT i would be very wary of anything that John Jenkins sends out currently, he is on the 'cold list' for current form mate. Not a winner from his last 40 runners!!

Bar Hi Tide which won 2 days ago over hurdles.

His yard are not in bad form, they are running to their ratings. Bookiesindex Boy is one of the best horses to watch in regard of being able to impress the people you are with.

You just say "He won't win" when he is cantering with 200yds left.

Just watched the dunlop horse that was completely unfancied and drifted in the betting get taken by the Jockey to the far side ending all possible chance. In the next race Dunlop has another horse owned by the same connections. This horse has been supported quietly through the day and i bet there is absoloutly no chance they will take it to the far side as they may actually want this one to win, which i hope it does as have backed it.

    Tonight at Southwell

I have previewed first two on the blog (as mentioned earlier in thread - do visit you might even like it)

7.10 Already spoken about this one too but I do think its worth reiterating that the two who are likely to relish the ground are the odds on jolly and also Highland Colori. If you want a bet in the race and you don't want to back the jolly then Highland Colori has to be of great interest. His sire has a good strike rate on the surface (RP formcard writer today is one of their best) the only worry is that it is his 3rd time in a maiden.

7.40 David O'Meara seems to hold a strong hand, yet the one that really interests me is Ever Roses who is 0-6 at the track but has shown that she likes it here and I think she can place. I think she is very interesting here.

8.10 Im Spartacus should run a big race, the field is made up of non stayers and non Southwell horses which leaves it open for Im Spartacus and Drifting Gold. The latter seems too high in the handicap and I think Im Spartacus is the winner in waiting.

8.40 Flying Power is the jolly but he has some questions to answer and I readily prefer Positivity who has proven form and is in good heart at the moment. I can't believe its 6/1 against this field. A good bet.

9.10 Already mentioned but Jonnie Skull is the selection. Change of jockeys to produce the goods with a front running romp.

Nap landed, thank the lord SDS was on that. He is a right old monkey, he ran further sideways than he did forwards. Scrooby Doo is one to avoid for sure.

  13. A couple of EW fancies who are well handicapped tonight are:

19:00 Yarmouth SCHOOLBOY CHAMP 10/1 - with a useful 5lb caimer he runs off a mark of 50, lowest ever and a handy draw to boot.

20:00 Yarmouth SEE THE STORM 9/1 - same trainer, same jockey and same reasons.

5 timer for SDS!!! That guy is on fire.

Did his last 5 rides in e/w doubles and trebles just in case he gets up a 7 or 8 timer! Have been following him closely but not this afternoon unfortunately.

    Hello lads.

Well done on the naps Nass and RV.

I didn't have a bet today today but sympathise with those who supported the well backed Wachman colt in the 6.20 under the truely awful Billy Lee.

I can remember two years ago e-mailing ATR,for the first and only time, about said pilot and the suspicious ride he gave one at Roscommon. To be fair, they did highlight his lack of effort in a slo mo...it didn't look convincing.

Nothing he did in the 6.20 tonight was convincing.

Well done on the NAP Nass - Cheers Dexter :)

    Two at Yarmouth tonight

8.00 - INVENT -11/2 BOG - A difficult looking poor handicap to solve on all known form but I feel that Sir Mark Prescott has a well handicapped horse here. INVENT runs off just 53 here and the way he travelled in to his race last time looking like he was going to win before dropping out suggests to me he may well have just needed a couple of runs to put him spot on, he has been dropped 4lbs since that run and has been found a good chance here.

8.30 ENGLAND RULES - 6/1 BOG - I am willing to give ENGLAND RULES another chance to prove his handicap debut was all wrong, he never appeared to be travelling well on the ground that day and was also badly hampered at an important part of the race. He had previously finished 4th in the Wood Ditton and won his maidn easily. I would think a mark of 79 is well within this horses capabilities
