Wouldn't surprise me if Potter had one eye on the England job in the future. A dodgy spell at Chelsea might scupper that.
Can you imagine being a Brighton fan and watching entertainment football under Potter and then getting Dyche as his replacement? Don’t get me wrong, Dyche is a decent manager but I’d expect Brighton to aim a little higher.
Potter should bide his time at Brighton, wait for Southie to resign/get sack after WC and take the England job. Only other candidate steady Eddie Howe will stay at Mags to get them into CL even if he was offered the national team gig. Which is by no means nailed on.
Made me smile. Potter once told BBC Sport that he was resigned to never being a high profile manager when at the time he was being linked with Everton. "It is hard to be a sexy name when you are called Potter, especially if your first name is Graham. Then it becomes even more difficult to be sexy," he said. "Add into that a long face and a ginger beard and all the rest of it and I just have to stick to being a football coach and work with the players."

5 year contract, set for life and all his family. Can't blame him one bit, and on a professional level what a challenge for him. The owners are also about as far away from the hire and fire approach as you can get from Abramovich, so they'll give him some time hopefully. Will be interesting to watch as I really like Potter.
Anyone know where to find odds on him being gone by the end of next year? Is it one of those go into the bookies & request the odds or is there a way to find it online? I looked on William Hill the other day, they had odds on the next manager to go, Rogers & Gerrard were obvious favourites, but I did think about a bet on Tuchel, he was 30 or 50, then the usual thought of, “nah, waste of money, even for £1 or 50p.” Today I looked & no next manager sacked option, just next Bournemouth & England manager.
