Maybe go from Stansted to Tottenham Hale then Victoria line into town to reach the Jubilee line and then on to Wembley Park. Green Park is on the Victoria and Jubilee.

If the tubes really are screwed maybe walk from Liverpool St to Euston then the overground to Wembley Central.

It's about 4 mile from station to station mate. Get a black cab and he will get you there quickest route possible and not rip you off.

Can you imagine train loads of Derby fans arriving at Euston with no clue of how to get to Wembley if the met line isn't running.

OMG!!! I'm clearly in wrong line of work, they earn more than Rob Green. Do they have any openings, I might apply... <yikes>

It means missing Henesseys, but to be safe I'm coming in overland on the line from Gerrards Cross - three stops to Wembley.

If anyone's outside the ground from 1PM, start shouting "Willy! Willy! Willy!" :smiley-finger007:

No news from this end, hoped to get something but most people seem closed lips at the moment, sorry.

According to Google Maps it would take me an hour to walk from Liverpool St to Euston?

Staines, according to Google Maps it is 14 miles from Liverpool Street Station to Hennessys in Kingsbury and would take an 1 hour by car. My pockets would have to be bulging with cash to pay a taxi I fear.

For anyone else coming into Stansted, you can get the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street, bus to Thameslink Rail Station, train to Hendon, and bus from there to Kingsbury. According to the TFL website the journey would take just over an hour. This looks to be my back-up plan should the tube not be running.

No mate, I meant 4 mile from Liverpool st station to Marylebone station, then short overground to Wembley Stadium. Or 3 mile Liverpool St to Euston.....then it seems overground to Wembley Central

I have my journey planned if no strike, all written down with google maps attatchments and detailed instructions.

The same in the event of a strike. I will use London overland lines and buses. All written down for others in our group who do not know London so well.

The journey to and from Hennessys will be a lot easier if no strike. The 204 bus goes to Wembley Park from Kingsbury and that would be the biggest help to get people both ways. The Watford Junction overland line from Euston via Willesden Junction would be your best help in the event of there being a tube strike.

Am sorry to be a wet rag....but please remember, that there is a footy match that afternoon and all roads lead to Wembley, and some roads are closed...leading to more congestion.
What I am saying is.....Leave really plenty of time to get to Wembley

Secondly..... the 204 goes from Kingsbury to Preston Road (a 25 min walk to the stadium) to Wembley Central (about a 20 minute walk), it does not really go very close to the stadium
Once the bus hits East Lane between Preston Road and Wembley...it will stop dead in the traffic ( imho)

    Leave PLENTY of time

Thanks Beth for that local info. If the worst comes to the worst, you can walk in about 45 minutes from Kingsbury to Wembley. I have maps printed out from google maps. I plan on leaving the pub between 1.15-1.30 to arrive at the stadium 2.15-2.30.

I have booked a 6 seater taxi to get us from Kingsbury back to Luton Airport after the match. Even if we walk from the stadium to Kingsbury, it is maximum 45 minutes to 1 hour walk.
