Recommend listening to this, as it starts to explain a bit about the situation the UK is in ATM, especially with disinformation and untruths being used throughout the media. The head of the UK Special Forces warning is particularly worrying

Trump has now pardoned over 100 convicted criminals, many serving sentences for crimes against the state. he has also withdrew US peace keeping forces from a number of volatile areas for the sole intention of causing maximin instability for the incoming president. he has also attempted to stop the travel bans in order to maximise covid numbers, but looks like he has been thwarted on this one.
The sooner this utter moron is behind bars where he belongs the better.

According to the BBC the numbers he has pardoned are low in comparison to other outgoing presidents. He also posthumously pardoned the boxer Jack Johnson who was convicted in 1913 for the wickedly heinous crime of taking his white girlfriend over state lines for ‘immoral purposes’.

I have not heard of over 100 criminals being set free on a final day before, and the names have not been announced yet.

I’ve not heard of a parrot called Bartholomew that can recite Anthem For Doomed Youth by Wilfred Owen. What’s your point?

My point is that you are naming people he has pardoned but he hasn't even announced who he is pardoning on his final day. My bet is that it will be for people involved in crimes against the state that could potentially incriminate Trump ones he loses his protection.

I honestly believe if they try and prosecute Trump, they'll make him a martyr. The whole thing could be more trouble than it's worth.

There is something in what you say..
But it could be argued that to most of his supporters, he is already a martyr...he is also apparently thinking of starting his own Patriots Party

Yeah I think he is already to a certain extent. Imagine if that was amplified tho.

Will be interesting to see if the inauguration goes smoothly or not.

I hadn't seen about this patriot party stuff. The man's a total loon.

Its not about political beliefs or what he thinks is right. He just wants power and attention. Total narcissist.

It would be a disgrace if they failed in their duty to charge a criminal just because of fear of his supporters causing more trouble.

When it comes to pardons, he's well down the list. Most was done by Roosevelt which was 2,819, least was George H W Bush with 74. Trump had 143 when this went to press which puts him second lowest. Even if he did 100 on his final day he would still be the fourth lowest.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vo...6029/trump-violence-tweets-racist-hate-speech

"A comprehensive timeline of Trump encouraging hate groups and political violence."

At a campaign rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Trump told the crowd that his security team informed him there may be somebody throwing tomatoes. “If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously. Just knock the hell out of them. I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. There won’t be so much of them because the courts agree with us."
