https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-55631498 US wildlife authorities have launched an investigation after a manatee was discovered with the word 'Trump' scraped on its back. The marine mammal was spotted on Sunday in Florida's Homosassa River, with the US president's surname on its body. Officials told AP news agency that the animal does not appear to be seriously injured, and the word was scraped onto algae growing on its skin. But a video of the West Indian manatee has led to public outcry. Manatees, nicknamed "sea cows," are protected under US law, and anyone found guilty of harassing them faces up to a year in prison and a $50,000 (£37,000) fine. Just about right for those f***wits or do you think this was someone else trying to blacken their name like those "imposters" at Capitol Hill
Unbelievable listening absolutely moronic Trump supporters blaming the Democrats for the violence. The belief in fake news stories is a massive problem for the USA right wing, and Trump is a major reason for this.
Like I said on another thread, its frightening that people can make stuff like this up and even more frightening that people believe it. Our society has become so polarised that people are willing to believe anything that backs up the views they have aligned themselves with. There seems to be no critical thought anymore.
They were shouting out things such as Biden and Clinton are part of a peadophile ring which of course has no evidence to back it up. This fake news originates from an organisation called Q-anon who specialise in spreading ****e. One of their other claims is that our Queen is at the head of the world's largest peadophile ring and is responsible for disposing of scores of children's bodies. It is amazing how many of the American far right are believing these stories.
Its shocking some of the rubbish that people believe. How on earth could anyone believe any of that is true?
Because they get their "news" from the echo chamber of lies and misinformation that is disseminated by the likes of Faecesbook. The same people ridicule the likes of the BBC because they do not confirm to their narrative of bullshit. Look at Trump now, he is "doubling down" and still spouting his lies and misinformation despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. In the world of the populist politician and their adoring fans facts and truth are an irrelevance.....
So according to the BBC news app the senate are going to vote to impeach trump but that won't happen till after he has been replaced by Biden? Whst exactly is the point then?
I agree, as I've said before I have a very poor understanding of American politics, so just trying to gleam as much info as I can
