Put up your links, Roger, and I promise I will watch them. Though I saw many people ahead of the presidential election predict exactly what Trump would say if he lost the election. They predicted that the 'red mirage' that would be caused as a big, early Republican lead would form as in some states in-person ballots were counted first and then it would vanish as the mail-in ballots were counted. Pending viewing those links, my opinion is this: Trump lost, even though he got more than 1.5 million more votes this time around for 3 key reasons: 1) Trump was attacking the BLM movement. He did a great job of making sure that coloured people in the cities, who historically had lower voting rates, all came out to vote against him. 2) Similar to 1) but here Trump's vitreolic campaign against illegal immigration from Mexico and Latin America, together with his policy of incarceration of illegal immigrant's children away from their parents, brought out the Latino voters in the cities to vote against him. 3) The swing voters who turned against Hillary Clinton at the last election (because of her sleaze & illegal use personal e-mails for classified data) this time around voted for Biden instead of Trump because of Trump's poor handling of the pandemic, his perceived support for white supremacists, and the issues discussed in 1 and 2 above. These combined to give Biden more votes. The turnout was high, yes, but not at record percentages, and there have been many higher turnouts in that respect - most elections in the 1800s had a higher percentage of the electorate turn out to vote! At the end of the day, Trump was elected president under the US judicio-electoral system and he was elected out of power under the same system.
Roger, you've had a mare here. That video clearly shows that all she is moving is a load of empty plastic crates (they call them moving boxes). You can see they are stacked one inside another and that the lids (which can be locked shut with padlocks or security zip ties) are all open and dangling down the sides. We use similar crates to securely protect documents in our company archives. If you listen to the commentary it explains that the clerk's County bosses are moving her to a different (smaller) office and she doesn't want to move. So, on the morning of the move she took the empty boxes that they were going to put her office contents into, and hid them in an area which was closed off for construction.
On this one the "Exit this way" sign has another piece of paper behind it whereas the one behind the reporter doesn't. here's the newspaper article as to what she was charged with, noting to do with election fraud... https://www.macombdaily.com/news/ka...cle_390cf752-2040-11eb-a334-77f8ac8ea30d.html and more background in relation to the woman... https://www.michiganradio.org/post/...-damage-karen-sprangers-tenure-being-repaired
C'mon Rog, you're better than this. This has nothing to do with election fraud. It's about her bullying and harrassing other employess
It's good to see Trump condemn his supporters, etc who stormed the Capitol building, I didn't think he had it in him tbh. No excuses, just a total condemnation. ""Like all Americans, I am outraged by the violence, lawlessness and mayhem. The demonstrators who infiltrated the Capitol have defiled the seat of American democracy. To those who engaged in the acts of violence and destruction, you do not represent our country and to those who broke the law, you will pay." You can only hope that they're not so stupid that they reject his advice and carry on with this anarchy.
I read that as someone saving his own arse. The seriousness of what happened must have dawned on him and one of his aids would have written that out for him to read as a way to try and deflect what he encouraged a low life mob to do. He doesn't give a damn about other people and has proved that over his nightmare term in office. Personally I hope that they throw the book at him and his family. Biden (till last night) has kept pretty quiet about Trump, be interesting what legal steps will be taken against this guy who lets be honest, tried to delay/overthrow a democratic election, even tho he went through judges who HE appointed and even the Supreme court where he appointed 3 of them..and all of them threw out his fantasy of a rigged election. Hope he goes to jail.
Absolutely. I think he realised that shameful episode would be his epitaph ... ... it still will imo. I don't agree with jail though, supporters like his love a martyr and a cause to justify their actions. Just let him carry on twisting, he'll look even more ridiculous out of office.
Nissan are hardly likely to admit they pulled the project because of Brexit ... ... especially as the NE was promised better treatment in future. It's such a shame, I hoped, and really believed, it was all true. The area will just go to the back of the queue as always, I'm amazed the people stay so cheerful and positive tbh.
Nissan have said they were always going to build it in Japan. So Nissan have lied to the world with this one?
But the firm has insisted that the plan was always to build the model in the Far East. A Nissan spokesman said: “Production of the new Nissan Ariya has been planned for our Tochigi plant in Japan for several years, and was confirmed in July when we unveiled this exciting new model.” Nissan dismisses claims it has snubbed its Sunderland plant to build new electric SUV in Japan amid Brexit fears | Sunderland Echo
