6 months ago I would have agreed with both of you. But as I work in the U.S. Most of the time and generally with educated business people, I'm surprised at their thoughts on Trump and how likely they will be to vote for him. It's not just the rednecks, that is the very scary part for me.

Why? They voted in an actor 30 odd years ago who slept through most of his presidency.

And they consider him to have been one of their better ones.

I've lived in North Carolina for nearly 20 years and I agree with Hordenmackem, the rednecks will vote for Trump that goes without saying, but some of my neighbours who seem perfectly nice, normal and educated people are also supporting him!! I have other friends who are republicans who have come out and said they will vote democrat or not vote at all rather than vote for this Oompa Loompa so I still don't think he'll get in, but just in case we are actively searching for an out. Even if he fails but gets a large vote we may still leave the right-wing here are so far right it is truly hateful and very scary!

Says it all for me. He has ripped the Republican party apart but even if he gets slaughtered in the general election he would not be out of pocket as a lot of his campaign money is being spent in buildings and hotels he owns. Crook or canny man, he will not lose. He is on the biggest ego trip any human being can go one without any thought for the country or world.

He might be the best thing to happen to the GOP in a long time.

The party needs a seismic shock like this to wake it up from years of smugness and complacency.

The Tea Party had a go but all it did was drag the Republican agenda to the right.

True enough, but they had enough warning when Ted Cruz got the vote ahead of their chosen candidate. Maybe there was too much reliance on Jeb winning the nomination but they were Trumped.

I'm not even remotely bothered what happens on the other side of the pond, if we vote to remain we're as ****ed as they'll ever be under Trumpet.

To leave the EU, we are 4/1 (1/7 to remain in the EU)

Donald Trump next USA president - 2/1

We're definitely staying in mate, no two ways about it, the gov't have got what they wanted and they've scared the masses into thinking life would be much worse.

Life is going to get an awful lot worse in this country, not for us necessarily but by god our kids are ****ed, unless they want to be in finance.

This isn't really a Trump story , it's an upset American public with politics story .Its a game of chicken that a majority of Trumps minority will turn the wheel in November when it gets real . Even " The Jerry Springer " clan goes home after the show to live " Normal lives " .

Trump shoots his mouth off and can't back it up with facts .It's a laugh watching Donald Duck follow up questions when there are no answers .
