I do follow the science mate. And I understand why PCR tests aren't an exact measure for Covid infection, but they are a likely indicator.
What you have to remember also, is that whilst some people have jumped on the 0.8% false positive and tried to spin the statistic that it equates to a 91% false positive, that is wildly misleading and doesn't really understand statistical data.
The real measure of all of this is hospital admissions and excess deaths. Both of which are on the rise again.

Deaths have fallen, and hospital admissions are no where the level to justify the draconian measures being taken by our Government to control the perceived threat.
Do you deny that these measures are now causing more deaths and misery than the virus?
Do you deny that the reaction to the virus is going to lead to an inflation in the number of deaths due to cancer and heart disease (to name just two illnesses) far in excess of the numbers that have allegedly died due to coronavirus?
Do you deny that millions of people are going to lose their jobs as a result of the Government’s reaction to the virus, and that this is going to have far reaching and adverse consequences for our economy?
What draconian measures are these?
There are currently no draconian measures that I can see.

Tbf, I would call a £200 fine for not wearing a mask in a shop or on public transport pretty Draconian. As is the possibility of a £1000 fine for failing to quarantine. For the record, I wear a mask, take all reasonable precautions, and am happy to comply with government directions, but enforcing this stuff in law, without Parliamentary debate, doesn't sit well with me.
I don't think there's any big conspiracy here, just incompetence. But the erosion of Civil Liberties, temporarily or otherwise, shouldn't be taken lightly.

Anyway, the rules regarding masks & quarantine are clear, if people choose not to follow them, then it is what it is, all the bobble heads merely claim exemption from mask wearing now anyway and there’s no legal requirement to prove it.
The way the Tories have chosen to implement measures without Parliamentary discussion is also a separate issue and merely par for the course for the current incumbents.
I read this and thought that HIAG was actually explaining himself well (black and white avatar, responding to a question to HIAG) and was going to say that whilst I don't see the measures as excessive or worry about this level of interference in civil liberties at this time I do agree it is a relevant concern that is well explained.
Then as I'm typing the response I realise it's Archers, I should have guessed this wasn't a HIAG post.

Deaths fell when we locked down and now both hospital admissions and deaths are on the up again.
And yes, there is a real detriment to other parts of the health service, jobs, mental health etc.
There’s no easy route through this tbh. If you open up fully again, then you’ll get a massive spike in deaths and we’ll end up in full lock down again.
ironically for the anti-lockdown/anti-vaxxer crew, it will likely be a vaccine that eventually releases society from the restrictions.

Hard science strongly indicates that those who are going to die have already done so, and that the death rate will continue to fall until it bottoms out, in line with every other pandemic in recorded history. There is absolutely nothing exceptional about this virus.
You are spouting nonsense that simply is not in line with what the world’s eminent experts are saying. In fact, all you are doing is repeating BBC bollocks.
That certainly appears to be the only reason the Government is feeding us lies, to keep us in fear, so as to leverage up pressure on the populace to take an untried drug, making trillions for corrupt investors, and with the pharmaceutical companies exempt from any liability whatsoever.
