True quality

In case I needed reminding of our manager's true quality, today I read this

"the Scot afterwards applied the hair-dryer treatment for the first time since he took over the managerial reins at Ashton Gate"

That is exactly what I wanted to see after the Derby debacle, and gives me hope for the future. A young SAF is precisely what this club needs, and serves to re-assure me that City are in good hands.
The players (and I mean ALL the players) must realise that they are playing for their careers right now.

I have heard the term "hair dryer treatment" many times but I must confess I have no idea of it's true meaning. I have often been called a masochist so the gory details are expected brightred.

I can visualize SAF nose to nose with his victim, mouth wide in a blood curdling scream, his victim wide eyed in shock with hair blown straight backwards.
If Ferguson could do that to such as Roy Keane, imagine the effect on the Giggs and Beckham brigade.
A manager will inevitably be judged on his results, so the hairdryer obviously works.

If McInnes is another SAF, then it makes perfect sense that he would have brought his hairdryer with him.
Lets just hope he doesnt have to blow a fuse

At last a manager who in mid December is willing to publicly acknowledge that City are in the middle of a fight against relegation!!!!!!!!!! Unlike others who blandly say that the only table that matters is the one at end of season. That they don't even look at the table until then! What a load of tosh.
He is a plain speaking, forthright character who led by example wherever he played and is doing so as a manager. I remember how Gerry Gow from the same part of Scotland as McInnes once said that he had to work so hard as a footballer, because the alternative (unemployment) was not an alternative to be relished. McInnes will sort us out even if it means some well loved players making way in the not too distant future.

Interesting to see how they play Saturday,this is a massive massive game,loose and we bottom three again,even after all the hard work done.
Just shows how hard it is to pull away from the bottom.

This was the thrust of my article "disappointing", i.e. letting the players know in no uncertain terms that the age old and well established routine of City having a good spell and then "having a day off" e.g. Ipswich 6-0 (I did stay for all 6 but it was positively embarrassing) and SO many more examples will no longer be tolerated.

In fairness, most seem to have bought into the ethic but there is no room for under par performances...
