    I remember the first Saturday after the introduction of decimal currency, there was a stall on Lewisham market selling oranges at "3p each or 3 for 10p!"

    The number of people buying 3 for 10p was unbelievable! <laugh>

    On Decimal Day in Feb 1971 I was working as Lakenheath USA Base.

    When we went for breakfast in the Canteen the girl on the
    till had to convert Dollars to £sp and then to new pence.
    She was not very happy.

    It seems amazing that it was 44 years ago.Where did it all go??:emoticon-0138-think:emoticon-0138-think

    That would get the Bank of England Monetary commitee in a right tizz!
    An incredible number which makes house price inflation look quite modest.
