The early episodes were funny - very un-PC with jokes about ****s etc. you wouldn't get away with these days. I love that kinda stuff. Rising Damp is brilliant for it.
Why do only fools and horses work? That's a load of bollocks. There's all sorts of working dogs from sheep dogs to guide dogs and sniffer dogs.
Only Fools is a timeless work of genius. It is feel-good television, a chicken soup for the soul. It may not be the most complex comedy, layered with subtle undertones of wit and observation, but John Sullivan was the master at producing inoffensive humour for the whole family to enjoy. OFAH, Porridge, Reginald Perrin et al represent a time when only the greatest performers and writers made it on to the box. Those who slag off these shows are probably fans of 'right-on' dross such as IT Crowd and Citizen Khan. Give me repeats from the 70s, 80s and 90s any day of the week. RIP Roger Lloyd Pack.
OFAH had some moments of true hilarity. "cwying" and the time when del fell through the open bar flap when him an trigger were trying to act cool for the ladiez, to name but two.
Why bother coming on this thread if you don't like the programme what a waste time you could of spent it playing with yourself
He also played Owen in the Vicar of Dibley, the most underated programme ever. Amen PS Dawn French = Ah Wid
