Not many on this forum will have heard of Ben, although those with Island connections will almost certainly have done so. I had the privilege (if that is the right word) to attend his funeral today. This followed a brave battle against cancer. For many years Ben has been the go to man for Saints fans on the Island - running the IOW Saints supporters' Club. His efforts over the years have helped many Island fans get to matches throughout Europe by organising trips and tickets. He was a huge Saints and more importantly a family man. The crematorium on the Island was more packed today than I can ever remember which was a great tribute to Ben and how well he was liked and respected on the Island. An important member of the Saints family who will be missed by all who knew him. Thank you Ben, Rest in Peace.
