I suppose that would be my point.I never said it was the height of achievement just hinted that teams like Celtic or Rubin Kazan were written off before they beat them.
Like Febbos I'm just uncomfortable with the"who are we getting in the next round"attitude, pride before a fall and all that.

Well I've already said I think we're going out tonight on a score draw.

Bruce out if we go out tonight.

This is a once in a lifetime chance. Failure is NOT an option.

Was at rugby the other week and noticed that. Have they retained a smaller stadium sponsorship or just forgotten to take them down?

I would not fancy celtic in a knock out

they got mullered 6-1 but they have experience in the big games unlike us

have them in the group stage

then again under their new manager they're abysmal, id absolutely ****ing LOVE to knock them out

would be hilarious and we could crush them at the kc

don't want hoards of celtic wandering around hull though

would not be celtic as both us and celtic will be seeded if we get through to next round

do not expect anyone too well known again

anyway we have to get past trencin first, it will not be easy

all the pressure is on us, this is the biggest game of their careers and probably will ever be, they're going to fight like spartans, every passing minute at 0-0 the pressure increases

it certainly is no forgone conclusion

I just hope the crowd doesn't get restless if its 0-0 after 30 minutes or heaven forbid we are losing

Look at those flares! How many died from smoke inhalation, had asthma attacks or were consumed in a conflagration? 1, 10, 20, 100s? Or maybe none?
Of course at the KC they would be OK as nothing happens to away fans whilst Corcoran spends time and effort tracking down and having banned City fans who kept off a single flare at Everton.
In fact would the police let. The game go ahead against them unless away fans were banned going by their panic when the had a friendly cancelled. We had better hope we don't meet Celtic at some stage or they will have a nervous breakdown.

I've not seen who dropped out the champions league qualifiers yet, but when I looked a few weeks ago there were 32 teams with a higher coefficient than us that could potentially be in the next round. Hapoel Tel Aviv were one and they went out in Q2, so it's now 31. But there's a good chance we could find ourselves unseeded should we progress tonight.

I'm going for the other way around - we score first and everyone thinks it's a foregone conclusion, yet they've got nothing to lose and they grab a fortunate equaliser before defending for their lives.

That's the problem with the power the champions league possesses. It's "jobs for the boys"!
