And he dared to claim he had given the fans our team back, and our DNA.

Charlton Athletic's season sunk to a new low at Bloomfield Road as they were beaten 1-0 by a team who hadn't won at Bloomfield Road in almost five months.

Karl Robinson's men had a single shot on target - a tame Ben Reeves effort in the first half - while Michal Zyro might have done better with a chance right in front of goal that he made a hash off with his head.

The defeat puts huge pressure on Robinson, with fans turning against him and his methods in the wake of the dispiriting loss.

Ben Amos made two decent saves and substitute Naby Sarr headed one off the line in the final 10 minutes as Blackpool always looked the more likely to score, before the unthinkable happened, Charlton conceding another late goal when Jimmy Ryan thumped in a winner two minutes from the end of time added on.

The home team had a glut of corners, 15 to Charlton's one, and most of the possession - while Charlton had to rely on only the odd counter-attack in a display which drew critical and angry comments from those who were there using social media to express their feelings.

There will be plenty of questions being asked after this result which leaves Charlton five points off the players with a game in hand after Peterborough's late victory at Bury.
