Tyson Fury.. theres a few fighters that are travellers. Wayne Rooney also comes from a traveller family. Not sure about many others off the top of my head right now.

Bohemians FC an Irish / Dublin based football team with the nickname "Gypsies". Also a young lady by the name Phoebe Buckley is hoping to compete in the 2012 Olympics equestrian events . Phoebe being from a Romany Gypsy family .

    n pl -coys, -kais
(Sociology) (in Britain) one of a group of caravan-dwelling roadside people who live like Gypsies but are not true Romanies

inspiration ? i saw the live report this morning on the news about a load of these travellers families still arguing it was their right to stay where they are.
I just thought their protected rights were more based around being travellers and not unwanted lodgers digging their heels in for god know how long.

As for it being a non football story , well i can only apologise , until i just looked through the last 4-5 pages i didnt realise this was meant for football only talk.
I spend some time on other forums which just mixes it up and , well i thought it was the same here.

    Sorry about that folks !!!

i went to cott high, and it was full of them, and if you had a fight with one, the next day about 50 of them would turn up with there families and dogs..funniest thing i ever saw, was our wet blanket of a headmaster, slowly walk across the fields to to try and make the baying mob leave, as everybody else was locked inside...he retired shortly after....or thats what they told us <laugh>

One of the reasons I don't post too much on here now is that non football threads are my favourite and I know they are frowned upon on here by many.

I've talked about Hull City on these forums for almost 5 years and so I enjoy discussing other things, BUT the thing is I like discussing other things with Hull City fans, I've had some very good conversations over the years, I've met some very interesting people.

I can't stand it when people complain about non footy threads it's a big turn off, I think if all you want to discuss is football then your a sad individual.
And YES I know it's a football site but boo ****ing hoo!
