We haven't had a current international for ages - and now three have come along at once!

Conteh = Sierra Leone
Baggott = Indonesia
Aguilera = Costa Rica

Not exactly top tier footballing countries but international experience playing against major footballing countries can only be a good thing for our players.
 
Just looking at an article on Bristol Live and under a picture of our manager it says 18 players out of contract this Summer. I found the heading on an article headed up New Tiger looking to earn his stripes
 
George Friend has retired from playing with immediate effect and is Rovers new director of football, Chris Spendlove has been promoted from chief scout to head of recruitment and Adam Mahoney has taken on the new role of head of Data and Analysis in the recruitment department

Michael Forbes and Jake Garrett have been recalled by their parent clubs West Ham and Blackburn Rovers, this now leaves 3 loanees at the club
 
Luke McCormick set to join FGR on loan until the end of the season. May have played his last game for us. He's dropped further down the pecking order since Sawyers arrival.

Apparently the club is looking to send him out on loan again instead of chancing him. He's out of contract in the summer so sounds like he's played his last game for us already.
 
When I saw him play I was very unimpressed particularly with his work rate, don't think he will be a great loss, was disappointed to see McCormick go as I always felt he gave 100% when he was picked
 
Rumour going around that Rovers have agreed a loan deal to take on Aston Villa left sided CB Sil Swinkels for the remainder of the season. It will be his first loan spell away from Villa. He recently turned 21.

The Dutchman joined Villa from Vitesse Arnhem in 2020 and made his senior debut for the Premier League side earlier this season in a Carabao Cup clash against fellow League One side Wycombe. He also featured in three of Aston Villa Under-21s' EFL Trophy matches as the Villans knocked out another third tier outfit in Blackpool before losing to Bradford in the round of 16.

Swinkels has also been on the bench for six of Villa's eight Champions League league phase matches, including Wednesday night's 4-2 win over Celtic, as well as for four Premier League clashes.

Rovers have built a strong relationship with Villa over recent years with LB Lino Sousa currently on loan from Villa while Lamare Bogarde had two separate loan spells with us who started in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
