Skysports - Derek Johnstone says that there are no guarantees for Rangers

DJ is correct, there are no guarantees, not just for Rangers, but for any Football Club.
However, Rangers have augmented the squad and hopefully this will help ensure we get the results we require, critcally vis-a-vis Heart of Midlothian, by equalling or bettering their results in every round of matches and defeating them in the two remaining head-to-head games. The automatic promotion spot is for Hearts to lose and Rangers to win, so come on Rangers, let there be no defeatism, go for it !

New signing, initially as Academy, then upped to the first team squad.

Rangers are delighted to announce the signing of central-midfielder Jordan Thompson on a two-year deal.
The 18-year-old from Northern Ireland has put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at Ibrox until at least 2017.

Andy Halliday is a midfielder and a Rangers Fan who was with Rangers at Academy level, but was released.
He went to play for Livingston and then moved to England. He returns as a first team player.

Rangers can today confirm the signing of Andy Halliday on a two-year deal, with an option for a third year.
The 23-year-old had been on trial with the club after his contract expired with Bradford City at the end of the 2014/15 season.

This has the air of 'Man United will not sell to Liverpool' and/or 'Liverpool will not sell to Man United' about it.
Business is business, so from Rangers' viewpoint there is no rush as we can sign Scott Allan for nothing when his contract with Hibernian expires.

From another SSN report on Scott Allan :
He has one year remaining on his current deal and will be free to talk to other clubs about a Bosman move next summer from January 1.

Confirmation today, 14/08/2015, of the SSN report on Wednesday.

Rangers FC - Spurs Duo Arrive On Loan

Rangers can tonight confirm the signing 19-year-old Nathan Oduwa and 20-year-old Dominic Ball on season long loans, subject to international clearance.
The pair arrive at Ibrox from Premier League Tottenham Hotspur, where they are highly thought of and will be Mark Warburton’s eighth and ninth signings of the summer.

As for Scott Allan, for a player football is a job with a limited shelf life, so if Celtic make him the best available offer, he should not be blamed for taking it.

Rangers FC - McGregor Leaves Gers

Although we now have Tavernier, I am a bit surprised by this news. Darren McGregor has been one of Rangers' stand out players for me from all the games I have been able to see. I hope Tim Sherwood brings him to Villa Park !
